Just say you dont like her. Forget the long epistle.
yes and that's understandably something every teenager needs to experience and work through. you say she's human and has a right to express these, but all the other girls are human as well and even younger than her, but have not reacted in such a way. 18 is an adult age. in this case i'd also feel quite betrayed, but given how she reacted during practice why would she expect anybody would vote for her?
i think the thing that put me off the most was how even when she went to ground, she didn't put much effort into improving. unlike fuko and gyuri who were obviously upset, they held positive attitudes and wanted to get back into i-land no matter what. jiyoon continued moping because she couldn't get what she wanted nor the song choice (ooh ahh). to me, it seems like she's only been growing and having a better attitude recently because she's finally been getting what she wants (aka vocal challenge, back to i-land, high producer praises). so also to me, if she doesn't get what she wants or feels "betrayed" again, who's to say she wouldn't react in the same way? you cannot say she has grown UNLESS you see her a difference in her reaction in a similar/same situation.
i personally think she's very talented and has a great voice, but i don't think her mentality or attitude is prepped for the industry if she reacts in those ways. she lost her part so she moped, she lost her i-land spot because she disrupted practice and she felt betrayed/disheartened/moped, she didn't get her song and she became the leader so she moped. it was not a one-time thing. she also continually ignored jungeun as well. she has every right to figure out her emotions, but if you are in a competition debuting in a group, it might not be the right time to debut if you still have to learn how to regulate your emotions. the industry is not easy and you'll almost never get everything you want. if they don't receive an award is she just gonna storm off stage? is she gonna refuse to practice because she doesn't get a big enough part? as i said, you can feel negative emotions but there are appropriate ways of responding.
if she currently has that type of attitude and mentality, i do not see why she is more deserving of other contestants going through the same thing just because she has a good voice. yuju lost her rap part, fuko and gyuri also got 0 votes from their friends, mai got the smallest parts every time and they all made the best of it. i'd love to see jiyoon debut, i just think she needs to figure herself out FIRST. other girls feel more ready to me. sorry if i'm being stubborn, that's just how i see it until i see her reaction in a similar situation
my top 6: jungeun, jeemin, koko, saebi, sarang, fuko. i think in terms of talent and team dynamic, they complement each other the most. mai and sujung have potential too, but i think they're lacking in some aspects. my personal faves are yuju and juwon tho judging from their recent rankings, i don't think they'll be able to make top 6 sadly

i personally disagree. idols are humans and can feel down, but there are correct ways of responding to those negative emotions. pouting, moping, refusing to participate in group practices, and ignoring jungeun aren't ways to manage your feelings if you don't get what you want. evil editing can only get you so far if it's continuous behavior. why would i want to vote for someone like that to be in a group? who's to say if she doesn't get what she wants next time she won't react the same way? yes i think she's extremely talented and has a great voice, but i can't see why someone with that kind of attitude and mentality is more deserving than other contestants
I wouldn't brush this off just by what other people say. Sometimes it's best to form your own opinions because…
well i'd normally agree with you, but when it comes to LZW, it's kind of a dealbreaker. otherwise, i would've tried it on my own already. i only have a finite amount of time on this earth so i don't really want to spend it on something i know i won't enjoy as much. that's also why reviews exist too. sometimes it's best to form my own opinions, but sometimes it's also good to listen to what others say. especially if that's exactly what i'm asking and looking for.
I like season 2 way more than season 1 so coming to some off the comments really weirded me out, nostalgia is…
agreed. i really wish people who loved s1 gave this one an unbiased chance too. but now that all the reviews and comments are so bad, most ppl don't even want to try this one out. it's honestly a great time.
of course there’s a lot of differences, but the point is the same
i haven't seen this korean one, but the original gives a very nostalgic, charming vibe. ml is SUPER charming, sweet, and adorable. he's incredibly playful and loves teasing or messing with the fml. he gives "soulmate that you're also besties with" vibes. would def highly recommend trying og out, but it might also take a few eps
Frankly his acting is so weak for that role. he wasn't cut for it at all. 🫤 And i know Kdrama fans will argue…
when i saw he was casted as LZW i was so confused tbh. ig they wanted to make the kdrama ver more melo (which is what they love doing) so i can see why they'd want to tame his character. i still think it was a weird casting choice. i'd think he'd would've played MJJ over LZW given his calmer nature.
i love hyoseop, but li zi wei is one of my fave characters of all-time so i'm kinda nervous. can anyone tell me how he portrays him in this ver? is it similar to LZW, does he have his own charm, does he do justice to his character?
