So I started watching this again after almost a year of having it on hold because, as you've mentioned, it is…
LOL
I was NOT pissed .. It's one of the BEST heartbreak ending imaginable - I am a sucker for well made dramas which end 'open' or 'tragic' or with some sort of redemption ..
Empress Ki Mr Sunshine Twenty One - Twenty Five TTEOTM Uncontrollably Fond When Life Gives you Tangerines RADIANT Dear Mayang Street Hwang Jin Yi

OMYGAWD!! Soul Mate? Drama Mate?
It's my Go TO Drama .. and I am holding off on my rewatch for a JUICY VERY LONG BREAK .. so I can BINGE FULL ON
Every day the thought swirls in my head : when should I begin ..
I want to take notes on my 2nd round ..
I wish this would come to VIKI
YOUKU is OK with the subtitles .. BUT one can sense the DEEP dialogues that are going on and we are JUST catching the rim of it .. ESPECIALLY the poetry :-D
Thank you : I also got seduced into the drama (freshly off of SOKP and ZLH charm) about 2 years ago. But by a few episodes I felt that 'thud thud' of falling into a slow groan of a pace and the plot being scattered to the winds ..
Ah, ok... well she was much better in that IMHO but she is actually a very good actress, this was just not her…
I am saving this much touted top Drama (NIF) for a long binge- been 2-3 years though 🤭
I think hearing that it doesn’t involve any “strong” female role and a solid “relationship” thread in it may be a reason.
I ploughed through fantastic period set drama (both slice of life and wuxia tinged) which had that as a strong element even though it wasn’t the main focus at times.
But currently running out of solid dramas with meaty explorations of the human condition under an expert production team - I’m eyeing it for a good “dinner” (hope it proves to be Michelin level)

YESSSS!!!!!
I LOVE IT
It gives that ethereal 4th dimension to this unforgettable epic Period Drama
I have it on my playlist ;-p
I’ll pass
Thinking of trying out NIF soon
Let me know how it goes for you once you watch it
You should not give up 🤗
Have a taste at least - 2 eps 😜
Of LADY LIBERTY
Just the intro VO might grab you - and the striking OST
No wonder I too couldn’t get into UNTAMED beyond first taste.
I returned for re-look with huge gaps between each tasting - but nope.
Didn’t work.
It IS so highly praised though and I wonder if I should taste it in the middle like in the 15th or 20th episode- and see if it makes me curious
Yes it is
Sustainable only if it’s addictive 🙈🤭
And watched the Special also?

THANK GOD I dropped it back then
(ONE standout modern drama though totally swept me away - Lady Liberty)
Oh No .. Ha ha
Which one though (that was boring) I gave several reccos
Agree
I came away with the same reactions and feelings : and rated it 7.5 / 10
I “live rate” a drama as I watch 😜
Mine started with a 9 and steadily dropped until it was scraping 4-5
What the heck was it with the “cringe tropes”
The characters were “schematic” unlike the characters in some of the best period dramas

The style didn’t hit the spot even after the full Ep
Also try : Joy of Peaceful Serenade
And : Joy of Life (wuxia but I like to club it with these)
