I think you r being too serious and ruining the fun for me here. The drama version will change big time, most characters will get better version both M and F. I’m looking forward to the chemistry between LYX characters and his brothers esp Liu Yan in the drama. While you find the F characters here heroic I find them bland and stated my opinion why. I prefer bromance bcs I’m sick of how C drama glorified fake CP to real life CP (just like in tteotm) which I don’t understand, it's just a drama and not real life. I said I don’t find this drama is romantic drama. We had our discussion on this and that’s it.

I always prefer dark characters and drama both in novel and drama/movie and prefer to see the original version if that’s possible here but it’s not. In most C drama I tend to focus more on the villain character if the actor is good bcs they r more interesting than the hero. Whether I stan dark characters or not that’s my choice. White moonlight characters in drama/novel for me is boring, they r flooding C drama. One of the reason Ttoetm was v successful bcs of TTJ grey character in the beginning. If they can show TTJ like HBO GOT can that would be best. The reason why I’m excited abt SLY is exactly how ruthless TLC is, while I’m not that excited abt LYX character in FYH, bcs unlikely he is going to be a grey character. Villain, grey characters can show acting skill better than boring nice, kind character. Tbh I don’t really like Ming Ye (boring) I much prefer both TTJ the hostage prince.

What will happen in this drama is they will make TLC like TTJ in TTEOTM, while toning down other character to pass censorship. It will annoy me big time when during drama, pp keep telling other non novel reader just how aweful TLC in the drama. I see your preference for F character over M character.

@a cappuccino gal It’s not abt open mind but many pp aren’t interested in the novel version when watching drama. Sm pp watch drama afr a hard day and just want to chill. I’ve seen this in many pages when pp got immersive in the drama story and other pp keep telling them the novel version characters. It’s almost like ruining the fun of watching the drama, it’s annoying. Do you read novel for every drama you watch? How many of us don’t read and just watch drama and we want to keep it like that?

Tbh reading mtl translation of C web novel is cumbersome. I got into arguments in ttoetm wt someone abt TTj and YXW turned out bcs her translation was wrong and understood later aft I send her mine. U realize pp in ttoetm page has different understanding bcs they read different version of translations?

Most characters in C drama gets tone down anyway. The “tone down” not white washing for MY is def not worthy discussing bcs of the heavy burden he has to shoulder-the safety of 3 realms is much more important than any love story.
TTJ is on the other down is the one gets tone down a lot to pass censorship and so is YXW whom is much more vicious in the novel.

U get annoyed if one just sees it fr drama perspective and I get annoyed when someone keep telling the novel perspective. So 🤷‍♀️? Pp are different.

Ttoetm novel or Qjm novel? U know migu has migu book as well. It’s normal for them to promote any book esp those getting adaptation? Once it is made into drama usually the book sells better. Teng Ping is more famous compares to 2 ha author and Ttoetm novel author. Teng Ping famous novel is actually MLC novel not QJM.

Always for the better looking at how they adapted previous 2 novels Immortality and Ttoetm. This is an even upgraded team better than Ttoetm team.
They took out the modern time travel. Instead they infused Ancient Chinese folklore stories about Fox dragon and Shi Kuang music saint as TLC background. There are more info abt this under discussion- need web version to see it.
