Until today, I still can't stop listening to those beautiful sound tracks of this drama, especially those poems (ci) composed by Yan Shu, Fan Zhong Yan, Ou Yang Xiu, among others. These songs are so beautifully sung, accompanied only by a single instrument - most tranquilizing music ever.

That may also spell trouble for these actors private lives.

Those mini series of the 9 lifetimes would be pretty daunting, with saddest of sad endings., traumatizing all of us here, don't you think? At least this one may have a happy ending (according to those wedding scenes), in the others, Si Feng ends up dead, either in the hands of Xuanji or in protection of her. One lifetime even has him decapitated. Do we need more pain?

Yes, that's perhaps the reason I love historical dramas too - good characters in the men (apart from some dramas with good historical values).

I've been puzzling over this part too, and now you've cleared it up. Yes, of course, she hasn't been 'fixed' per se. She leaves because in Singapore, no one would know about her past. For face sake, she can't stay in China and be near to Ling Xiao anymore, and that suits everyone just great. No wonder Ling Xiao's colleague urges her to read Jianjian's article and shuns her like a contagious disease (practically running away from her apartment).

Heroes to da rescue. Don't worry. You're in good hands. Yes, this drama is so funny and yet it makes us all cry, practically in every episode. That's because we find ourselves relatable to the characters, as if we're seeing ourselves on the screen. Enjoy!

I've always loved devotion in a man. I think that's the most attractive part of any man, and in this drama, it's a bonus that he's also so adorable :)
