Without looking at the whole song, just look at the last line of the chorus where the name A-Xian appears. The line in Chinese basically says, "Wish to still hear a call A-Xian". It means Wei Ying is longing to hear his shijie's voice calling him A-Xian again as she always does. But the translated version says, "And I could still say aloud the word Xian." Just this line alone changes the whole thing. :(
This song is basically expressing WWX's emotions for his shije. Among others, he describes her to have no hates, no regrets, she doesn't cause trouble, she doesn't destroy. But the translated version tells a totally different story, "There would be no regrets, no more killing, no more dying."
When I have time, I'll do a translation of the songs and let you be the judge.

Yes, we appreciate the translators. It's not an easy task.
I just want to point out that if you do a verbatim (character by character) translation with Google translate, it will have a totally different meaning. Many Chinese characters have different meanings with the same character depending on the context. Combination of characters would also have totally different meaning. However, I applaud your determination to learn Chinese. It took me awhile to understand the language. It's very related to the culture and the way the Chinese see the world and look at life. I simply love the language, the culture, the philosophy and the people. :)
Are you sure you're not talking about me? XD XD XD Everything you describe sounds so familiar. I'm doing exactly…
More than 4 billions already in August? Wow! That's more than half the world population. That's phenomenal! Even Brad Pitt and Tom Cruse may not have that number.

When I read the translated version of the Yi Nan Ping, it is totally distorted. It's describing the song from the perspective of Yanli. There are so many misinterpretation of the lyrics. Putting side by side, the two poems feel like two totally different songs. That's maybe the reason why many non-Chinese spoken viewers don't feel the impact of this song - how painful it is.

Also, just in case you didn't know, the Yanli character song Yi Nan Ping, is sung from the perspective of Wei Wuxian. The lyrics in Chinese are just heart-wrenching. Until today, I still cry listening to this song.
in the manhua, she became the concubine of the emperor. i just dont know in this version. they changed a lot hahahha…
Phew! You're talking about Huixin. I mistook you; I thought you meant Mingyue. For Huixin, she can marry whoever she wants, just not the 9th Prince; she's too annoying.
As for "spring dream", it's a literally translated word from the Chinese characters. It means, ..... are you ready?

The Chinese lyrics are even more beautiful than the translated version. Each Chinese character has a clue and a meaning to the story. A lot of the things are lost in the translated words. For example, the characters "Chen Qing" were lost when they used the word "story" in the Wuji song. It's really amazing that China has produced so many wonderful song writers and music composers in just one drama.
Same, i can’t move on too...Too tell the true at that time, I was in the middle watching my favorite actor in…
IKR. I watch only Chinese dramas. At the time of The Untamed, there were a few other Chinese dramas playing by my heartthrobs, namely Deng Lun, Yang Zi, Ma Tian Yu, and some others that I don't even remember their names now (heck!) I watched a couple of episodes here and there (other dramas), never knew what were going on because my heart wasn't in them; I kept thinking about The Untamed, Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji. Nothing can beat them, nothing can beat The Untamed story. Now, more than 2 months later, I'm still watching other dramas halfheartedly, returning back to watch The Untamed over and over again. We all need HELP!
And here's the anime (super good):https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLMX26aiIvX5rWjEqareJBmoX-_uTFtemk
For myself, I watched the drama first. Then after the drama, I felt so empty, so I started to seek out anything that are related to the drama, hence, the anime, the novel, the manhua and the audio. The story is just intriguing to say the least.
untill now i still listen to the OST every days. those songs really represent well for each character. those songs…
Yeah, those OSTs bring back vivid images of every scene. It's really amazing how this team could produce something that captures our minds and hearts so wholly.

Everything you describe sounds so familiar. I'm doing exactly what you're doing. I feel exactly how you feel, that is, insane. Hahaha!
This drama is so addictive that I need to have doses of it everyday like taking weed. Otherwise I can't function the whole day.
