On Love of Nirvana Sep 30, 2024
I've seen RJL in quite a few shows but this is the first one where I really find him attractive. He's usually got such a baby face but idk he looks older here, in the best way possible. Li Landi is killing it, as she always does. She's one of my absolute favorites of the 95 flowers yet she's so underrated.

I just realized he is in a wheelchair. If he is in it through the whole show, will this be the first handicapped…
He's standing in most of the stills so I doubt it lol

is this a s+ drama? And will someone tell me what's the difference between s+ and s++ drama?
There is no difference, s++ isn't a real thing

The first half of this drama was perfection but the second felt unnecessary. It is as if there was a 16 episode…
That's my problem with most kdramas. No matter how good of actors, premise, production, etc. most kdramas tend to be dragged down by the stupid 16 episode quota. They have to write in a formulaic way in order to hit plot points by certain episodes and it cheapens their dramas.

Haha i fully understand. I had to watch other dramas after LYF2. Before starting this one. Take you time. I can…
Aw nice yeah I definitely want to watch it. The crazy high douban rating, Wang Churan's gorgeous visuals, and Zhang Wanyi's acting have really made me excited for this drama. I just need a break after LYF lmao

Sweet little romcoms like My Mister, Signal, Life, Circle, and Stranger, you mean? I have quite a few more I could…
You had the energy to reply to me twice in a row but not actually respond to any of the points I made. I used two curse words across both of my responses and that apparently means I'm cussing you out lmao

Title Fiancee
For this website a 7.2 rating is actually super low. This drama has a 5.5 on douban, which isn't a perfect site…
Yeah it's sketchy territory. I've only liked a handful of dramas that were under an 8 on here.

Literally never said korea doesn't have its own culture or history. I also never said it isn't different from the west. But keep being a little weirdo trying to white knight for a culture that you're not a part of. You're literally not korean and have only been watching dramas for a few years, but yes please keep trying to educate everyone here.

Queen Woo is a korean show made by korean people about korean history. Why are you, a non-korean, so obsessed with trying to dictate what is "korean" or not?

And your logic is unbelievably flimsy. Why are there so many dramas that don't include sex at all? Idk why are there a ton of american shows that don't include sex? And why are there so many korean movies that include sex and violence? It's not that their culture has "grown secular by the day," because their movies have always included this kind of material. If not for censorship, there would be way more dramas with sex/violence. Of course there would be plenty of dramas that still don't have that kind of content. Because there are different demographics that need to be catered to and yes, korea is a more conservative country. But them being more conservative does not mean that a show like Queen Woo is not in line with their "values". Just because korea has a society that is more conforming doesn't mean they aren't individuals who can decide what kind of art they want to produce. And who tf are you and these other people commenting to tell them what they should and shouldnt be making or tell them that this is them trying to be western.
