For sure! I like other xianxia dramas more than this one now but this was the first one I ever watched. It was special and different than anything else at the time. It was such a sensation and to just call it trash and compare it to stuff that's come after is crazy. Without this drama the whole trajectory of xianxia dramas would be different.

It's not giving ageism. It's giving compatibility. Honestly girl, we never agree. Please keep it moving

Edit: And I also didn't say that visuals are the most important thing overall. But when it comes to age gaps, they definitely matter. Ariel Lin paired with Zhang Binbin didn't phase anyone because they're visually compatible and the age gap wasn't noticeable so you could just focus on them and their chemistry. Then you have the Goblin couple who looked weird as hell together because he literally looked like her uncle.

While yeah, younger people are getting super weird about any age gap at all, this age gap is a bit much. They look weird together. That's my big thing in dramas, is if the visuals just don't match up. She looks like his aunt. They're both fully adults and I don't think it's gross, but it's jarring.

That's fair, it was a really big cast. She was the fifth sister Rulan who was a little bratty but cute. Karlina played her role well.

My heart literally feels heavy after watching Lost You Forever. There was so much debate over the boys but man Yang Zi was the heart of the show through and through. My heart aches after finishing season 2, Xiao Yao's journey was magnificent and it's all thanks to our girlie here <3

Kim Hyeyoon is great. She was praised way back in 2018 for her acting in Sky Castle. If her cutesy roles aren't your thing, she has much more to offer than that. Anyways, I'm excited to see more of her.

I think debating over who she "truly" loved does a disservice to her character. She cared deeply for CX, XL, and TSJ. She lived how she wanted. As they said repeatedly, life is all about choices. Weighing the pros and cons and moving forward. It's impossible for her to have the life she wanted with anyone but Jing. She was in control of her life, she chose her ending. But actually, every character was in control of their own destiny. They all made the choices that made them end up where they did. They all could have done things differently, but they chose what was important to them. That's their fate that they chose. Jing and Xiaoyao chose each other whereas the other characters chose different paths. No one was able to get everything they wanted. But that's life and I think that's beautiful.

Um no sorry. I don't care about the age of consent legally. That typically only exists to protect young people's ability to have sex with other young people, not an old man with a child. The 16 year old was not mentally able to consent at that age. Aaron Yan on the other hand knew exactly what he was doing. Being in a predatory relationship with a child. And filming it and distributing it. A truly disgusting vile man.
