then don't watch it? critic is fine, but ypu shouldn't do it beforehand to a drama where the cast already gets…
I said that to moonchild because she and I have had multiple interactions where they're saying something wild. Like when they said that korean actors are better than chinese ones or their heinous opinion on Yoo Ah In. It wasn't blind hate. BUT even just telling someone they have a bad opinion isn't blind hate, it's literally just another opinion.
I don't know why you guys are so pressed about fans of the original having concerns for an adaptation? You can still be excited. Doesn't make any of my concerns less valid.
It's so funny to me when people just want everyone to shut up and not voice any criticism. Like, just because there are people who haven't seen the original versions means we who have can't compare them? Even if the new version is objectively worse? Fuck out of here. If they're going to remake a wildly popular drama they're going to get people pissed if they don't do it properly. The korean Fated to Love You and the thai Full House and Kiss Me were good adaptations. They exist. However, just because YOU liked A Time Called You, and just because they tried a different approach to the characters or story, doesn't mean that it wasn't an objectively worse version of the original. And it doesn't mean people aren't allowed to compare them.
I know most of you are koreaboos and can't stand the fact that Korea tends to suck at adapting other country's works. But that doesn't mean we're not allowed to criticize that fact.

Mm nope sorry I'm still going to voice my concerns. I'm not sending blind hate. I had a reason behind everything I said. Nothing I said is stopping you from being excited for it or watching it when it airs.
The ML can't act for shit but yes it's the FL who is bad /s. I stg all men have to be is hot and women on this…
The male lead is an objectively bad actor. Like your criticism of the fl doesn't even make sense when you find nothing wrong with the ml who was infinitely worse than her
Or it's bad because it was like every other generic romance kdrama and ditched all of the nostalgic charm of the original. I enjoyed the korean remake of Fated to Love You, but that's literally the only good korean remake I've seen. I've enjoyed many Thai remakes of dramas though. I have more than one reason for why I'm apprehensive for this Go Ahead adaptation which I talked about in my original comment, but you guys can keep living in lalaland and pretend like anyone who disagrees with you has a black and white mentality.
Because Korea has a bad track record when remaking Cdramas. People are right to be apprehensive
Yeah Someday or One Day (taiwanese not chinese) and A Love So Beautiful were both remade into kdramas and while they weren't absolutely terrible, the korean remakes lost everything that was charming about the originals and they were so bland
Request 🙏I know, the original Go Ahead Chinese drama was good, but if you come here and comment negatively…
This is toxic positivity. People are allowed to say their opinion whether it's negative or positive. Shutting down opinions because it's not what you want to hear is so crazy
I don't want to be pessimistic but I have no clue how JCY is going to pull this off. It's very easy for a character like this one to be annoying and cringey but TSY in the original pulled it off because she's great at these kinds of characters. JCY is very beautiful but I've never seen any acting of hers to be particularly impressive. I'm not trying to pit these two against each other, but I feel like someone like Kim Hyeyoon who's played childish silly characters but still had depth in the past might have been better suited. I hope JCY proves me wrong, because her character is the glue and center of the story. Yes, the boys are important but I think their characters are easy to like and not as difficult to portray (The SML was fantastic in the original though, such a good actor objectively). I love Go Ahead so so much so I hope they manage to pull it off. I don't have super high hopes though because the korean remakes of Someday or One Day and A Love So Beautiful were both so painfully disappointing.
Is there a schedule out? Do we know when it will be finished airing? I'm avoiding all spoilers so if someone has answered this in a comment or it's been posted before I've definitely missed it
