After i rewatched it again, i think if they changes the set up place, from the prominent household to the palace…
Fair enough. I rated it based on how much I enjoyed it. A lot of people really hate the ending but I didn't mind it and my overall experience with the drama is why I gave it such a high score.
I can't believe how good this was. I had zero expectations going into this and I think it's one of my favorite Chinese dramas. It's between an 8.5 or 9. I really really loved it.
Chinese celeb exploits sex workers who have no protections due to the CCP yet you manage to turn it into an AMERICA…
The CCP is justifiably being criticized. No one will know the situation because everything about him is being blocked. You're assuming everyone's a dumbass brainwashed by the American government "because racism" when the CCP's censorship and mishandling of many criminal cases is what has led to people's mistrust of the situation. Peaceful protesters like Joshua Wong imprisoned yet we're supposed to not doubt the CCP? It's not "CCP is evil incarnate" it's "this government has a long history of hiding its problems from the rest of the world and shutting everyone up who disagrees with the party." Imagine thinking it's American propaganda and not the actions of the CCP which has caused international mistrust of that government.
I don't understand people blindly defending LYF as if what he's done isn't deserving of punishment, because I agree with your analysis of him being a person with power and wealth and the exploitative nature of sex work in countries where that profession is illegal. However, to cry sinophobia in response to many who are rightfully doubting the situation is naive as hell.
God damn do I love the FL. She is everything I've always wanted a character to be in these types of second chance time travel/transmigration dramas. She's so calm but not unfeeling. She never forgets all of the hell she went through and isn't ever swayed by nonsensical things like so many FLs in this genre are. I loved the scene with her and her dad where she's trying to get him to stop focusing on the wrong things. It's so heated but she's so well-spoken, the writing was perfect. Zhou Ye does a great job portraying her but I really do have to give it to the writers. I'm so pleasantly surprised.
One of my first ever drama crushes. He so often plays these bright sunshiney boys you can't help but love. He's always placed in the support role even when he's more talented and suited for the lead than who they cast. It's such a shame.
She's such a gentle, dainty kind of beauty but she plays comedic roles so well. She was actually funny in Back from the Brink and wasn't cringey. She's not the most amazing actress but she's pretty damn good and I look forward to seeing how she grows in the future.
Why are the ratings so high to this drama? There was hardly any romance development between the mains and the…
For this website a 7.2 rating is actually super low. This drama has a 5.5 on douban, which isn't a perfect site but it tends to be far more accurate than mydramalist.
I forgot all about this drama. I was watching it back when it aired but stopped because I ran out of episodes. I'm surprised at all of the positive comments. I'm going to restart it!
My heart hurts.

You should for real watch Coffee Prince though. It's a classic that holds up.
