It's been so long since I've watched this kind of drama, I'm excited for it to finish airing so I can start it.

Lol facial features are not in the process of developing at that age. Puberty is over by 19. She got plastic surgery, no hate at all. She's gorgeous and there's nothing to be ashamed of, it just is what it is.

Totally agree. She's a unique beauty, she would be praised in the west for her strong features. She also is one of the very few young actors with actual acting chops. Most young Chinese actors are just pretty faces. With dubbers doing all of the work for them, any actual acting skills are basically a non-requirement as long as they're hot.

China's authoritarian regime and strict standards for celebrities is ridiculous. Like, it's not like she's abused anyone or done something HEINOUS. I feel the same way about Deng Lun, Fan Bingbing, and other celebs like Zhang Zhehan who didn't do anything truly harmful. It's so stupid. They're actors, not politicians. Celebrities in the west make comebacks after scandals all of the time (even when they don't deserve to and do way worse shit). Dumb dumb dumb.

I very much so disagree. After the ML treated her poorly at that bar place and she got drunk the ML said he thought she'd forget it all the next day. She was the one who made the choice to break up. She had had enough and didn't know the ML well enough anymore. After the large time skip you could see that she treated the SML differently. This was evident when her little sister was asking for advice on how to turn down Sun Sun. The FL told her the best thing to do was be straightforward and turn him down. The FL herself never did this with the SML even after getting his letters years before. The FL was super straightforward with Zeng Hang on the other hand though and told him outright that he should move on. This shows that she always treated YDD dfferently. She always cared for him as a friend and after she completely moved on from OXJ she was able to develop romantic feelings for him. The show was very subtle showing this and there simply wasn't enough time either which was super unfortunate.

Can't believe I almost didn't watch this. Very underrated. It's very slice of life with a sweet little neighborhood but diverts expectations in many ways as well. 8/10

Just started it and man am I happy the FL is a top student for once. It's also refreshing to have the narrator be one of the male leads.
