Hyun Bin was ridiculously lovable in his roles here. I'm normally the biggest HJM fan but the character she had to work with did her absolutely no favors. Just a very bland FL type role that was super common for the time this came out. I haven't seen Sung Joon in a drama since INR3 and I remember really liking him in that but oh MAN I did not like him here. Yes, the writing for the character was shit on its own but his acting was also just kind of...bad? I don't remember him being a bad actor tho so maybe it's just this role he couldn't pull off. Hyeri was adorable as always but her character was pretty much a non-factor.
The plot was wild, and not in a good way lmao. It was all over the place and ridiculous but also managed to be super boring. I only kept going because I really loved the contrast between Robin and Seo Jin in the beginning. That novelty wore off though and the drama was a pain to finish ngl.
I wish I would have watched this years ago. I really liked it even now but I just know as a young teen it really would have resonated with me. It was adorable :')
Finished ep 33 and omg Rayzha is such a good actress. She gave me chills during that scene
Am I supposed to feel touched at Yajing's recuperation scene where she stands for everyone? I'm just annoyed. The ML's gratitude and kindness to YJ is making it so he mistreats his wife and child. FL deserved better. Like, Yajing literally had a mom or assistant or literally anyone else other than the man that she spent years chasing who has a wife and child to take care of. It didn't *have* to be the ML. It's such bs that he was the oooonly reason she chose to live.
His family's nickname for him is extremely appropriate.
It is not unusual for cdramas to glamorise intelligent yet ruthless MLs who “always know better”. These men…
I respect that. The interaction in ep 7 just put a really bad taste in my mouth. Maybe someday I'll pick it back up. I saw clips of later parts in the drama which enticed me to start watching in the first place, maybe I'll like it more once they're out of college.
He did try to explain to them earlier when they were at a restaurant or something discussing the project. They…
It's not a contradiction, it is a discussion. I am able to criticize his actions whilst also watching and enjoying the drama. It's not contradictory for me to say I am fine with watching a character who is a jerk or does bad things but also criticize the characters actions, both of those things can be true at the same time. I am annoyed with how the drama handled the character, versus his character as a whole. Nuance apparently does not exist and discussions where you're not praising are not allowed.

I keep hearing that same explanation, that he tried to tell them and they didn't listen so thus they deserved what he did. This keeps going in circles. It doesn't matter if he gave them some feedback and they still went with their version. He should have told them his plan and that he was making a different version, they were all friends. Yes, he has more experience but he should use that experience to help them not embarrass them when he already knew their project was going to fail. Again though, my biggest issue wasn't even LX. It was the way the drama made him out to be the one not in the wrong and how the FL accepted him treating them like they're children instead of classmates/friends. I've said so many times now that I don't need him to be some "nice" good guy. He can be a dick! The ML can be a dick and that can make for an interesting character. I don't know why everyone is trying to make it out like he wasn't though and he was the one who was right in that situation. Anyway, I really don't care about this anymore, everyone keeps saying the same thing to try to justify shitty behavior when his behavior wasn't even the actual problem.
What has he done?Their friends donot want to rewrite the code how was it his problem? And why should he care for…
Girlie look at my watchlist, I am well versed in every stupid trope, plot device, and character archetype, they still annoy me and I'm still going to come here and bitch about them lmao. The bad writing annoyed me so I came to vent my frustration at precisely the place to do that. I have a different opinion than you, and that's fine. I appreciate that this time you actually gave reasoning behind your thoughts and it's interesting to hear that perspective. I don't agree as I don't think explaining away criticisms with "because that's the plot of drama" is sufficient, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
