Title Queen Woo
I hope it goes hard on the feminism.
There are ignorant Americans who deny the probems here as well. Simply living there or saying you know people who live there doesn't negate the real issues that a country possesses.

Seeing comments about how rotten the ML is makes me want to start it more 😂 Chinese dramas almost always have cold but morally upright MLs, this sounds like a fun change.

I felt the same way. I was sooo into the first part, up to the point where he raises his eyebrows ever so slightly…
I didn't like it that much in AOL personally because Jin Mi felt like a completely different person, which I guess she was. But I just wasn't feeling it and wanted to get back to the rest of the drama. I loved it in TMOPB though, it's the blueprint for a reason lmao. It brought some much needed humanity to both Bai Qian and Yehua.

It's not impossible. Ni Ni and Liu Shishi did a drama together in 2020. But I don't think this one is real.

You made the right call. I was really hoping that at some point it would get back to how it was before but it never did and I watched too much to drop it. Luo Yunxi really made the drama. The character was really cool in the beginning and he played him perfectly. I really wish reincarnation/other life wasn't such an integral part of xianxias. Ever since Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms almost all xianxias have it and for most I think it takes away from the flow of the story.

For sure, I really liked it.

Cliche in what way?
Cold god of war. Cheery girl trying to get close to him. Misunderstandings caused by miscommunication and an evil SFL. Noble idiocy. There's more too. I don't think the entire drama was cliche, but the dream arc certainly was.

First arc was fantastic. So much tension and chemistry, I loved it. Dream arc straight up sucked. The most cliche xianxia storyline I've ever seen. The rest of the drama was alright. It picked up a bit in the last ten episodes but never regained the momentum that was lost. Overall rating - 7/10. Baller last episode though, it was really good. And that never happens in xianxias.

any trailer? first time watching yang mi
Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms/Eternal Love is her best and most famous work. It's the blueprint for like every xianxia that has come out since. You should definitely watch it.

I always say that Love Like the Galaxy feels like if Story of Minglan was made for teenagers. And I don't mean that in a bad way! LLTG is more immature and dreamy whereas Story of Minglan is more mature and realistic BUT they feel very similar. Both dramas are based on novels by the same author. Both have big family relationships, strong romances, and a little bit of politics. I definitely recommend it!

seeing it objectively as a tv drama, it's unique, fresh, interesting etc etc.But you are one of the people that…
I understand why they do it too, I think it's a flawed system. Writers are restricted and have to come up with a show that perfectly fits into a certain runtime. I agree that romances can get away with it more than shows with real stories. But that's really a shame. Imagine how many great dramas aren't being made because it's not possible in the 16 episode allotment. Or imagine how many great concepts have been butchered because they had to find a way to drag it out to 16 episodes. And this isn't me hating on Korean writers or directors. I love a lot of K-dramas and movies, the problem is entirely the fault of the tv channels and production companies.

The more you analyze it the more you realize how poorly written especially the second half is. I agree the build…
Yes! This is so how I feel. I really love aspects of this drama but man was I frustrated with some dumb tropes and some sloppy writing in the latter half. I also gave it an 8 because of how much I liked it in the beginning but it definitely was disappointing.

Title Flower of Evil Spoiler
YES. I've been putting it off for so long. Same reason I haven't watched Joy of Life. I have such high expectations…
How'd you like the ending? I just finished it and gave it an 8. I do not agree with its 9 rating and other comments calling it a masterpiece. It was good overall though and I definitely enjoyed it. But holy crap the last episode. It was so bad, it was like they had this idea of how they wanted to convey to the audience of how the ML didn't ever get to live for himself and how they wanted to show that he was truly choosing the life with his wife and daughter instead of being forced to, but the writers had no clue how to execute it so they threw in a cheap amnesia plot line. Really disappointing ending imo

Surprised to see this sit at 9.1. I thought the opening eps were pretty strong then it just got worse and worse.…
Yeah the crying was overkill even if he wasn't this supposed unemotional dude. Do writers and directors think making the audience watch two adults sob and stare at each other over and over again makes the audience somehow care more? It feels so cheap.

That's also the downfall of most Korean dramas though. The strict confinement to 16 episodes leads to a lot of rushed endings or dramas with super cool premises that should have just been movies or miniseries but instead are forced and dragged out to be 16 episodes.
