I just finished this drama and I still can't move on!!any tips??this is the most beautiful Chinese Historical…
Try Goodbye My Princess. It's not as heavy on the fantasy, but it's the one of the only other romance historicals that stuck with me after this drama. It's so heartwrenching and beautiful.
I finished it and overall I liked it. I'll explain more in the spoiler tag.
It was confusing why they spent so much time on some things but completely skimmed past others. Like, Huahua's crush on Tianming and Wenjing and Ye Hui's relationship received so much focus but other bits like the FL getting accepted into college, Hai Feng's new relationship (they were so cute!), and the FREAKING MAIN COUPLE barely got any time at all.
The funny thing is, despite the 42 ep length, I didn't find this to be a really draggy drama. I know others may disagree, but I liked how much focus and time was spent on other relationships besides the main couple. The problem lies in that they went so into some things but barely scratched the surface with others. The ML and other side characters did not get the development they needed to flesh out their characters. When the main couple finally got together it felt abrupt. It's already a long show, and I know they probably needed to make cuts, but I don't think they chose the right parts to do that at all.
When I first watched this Cdrama I dropped it coz they showed childhood memories and for me that’s a bit cheesy.…
That's exactly what I did lmao. The childhood cliches were too much for me but I posted here and some comments encouraged me to keep going and I'm so glad I did. Such a fantastic romance.
I enjoyed VC as Dong Na & Roy as Gu Fei. But it’s valid for people to feel uncomfortable & critical about the…
It does matter because children should not be put in compromising situations, no matter if it's a job. I don't care how professional a production is or how good of an actor a child is, I will not watch something with a minor doing something inappropriate with an adult because they cannot consent. From what I can tell, that's not the case here and the interactions are quite mild and tasteful, however it is important for children to be protected and it's good for us as consumers to be aware of what we are supporting.
omg something in me just snapped when i saw this drama use the old "let me bandage your wound" make a big deal…
Good lord YES THIS. I hate that shit so much. This trope needs to go away forever. My eyes roll to the back of my head whenever this is done. Not cute, just cringe as hell lmao.
I'm actually really liking it. I am fully aware that this is a trashy soapy drama lmao. But it is entertaining. I feel like recently dramas have been playing it too safe and this one definitely diverts course from the usual. Most female leads never have more than one actual love interest that she dates. I appreciate that in this drama she is with different men in different stages of her life. Some nasty people are using old-fashioned sexist terms to define her which I totally disagree with. Some of her actions are questionable and frustrating but I'm just really digging watching something that's been able to surprise me.
I really have a problem with people insulting the female lead’s character. One, it’s just a drama. Secondly,…
100% agree with this. Drama viewers are primarily women so everyone is always more harsh towards the FL than anyone else. It's not a perfect drama and none of the characters are perfect either, I don't think the FL deserves the degree of hatred people have for her.
My friend talked so highly about this drama so I decided to give it a try, overall I just completely regret watching…
Saying you find them ugly is one thing, but to be straight up racist and mention their eyelids is so incredibly disgusting. I can't believe there are people who actually say such things.
She's rumored to star in a new drama with Luo Yunxi and omg I really hope it's true. They were the best part of My Sunshine, I want to see them together again!
Semi-open. They meet again after a long separation but it's not super conclusive. The 2019 version's ending is much better, although it was rushed as well imo.

I still enjoyed it though and gave it a 6.5
