A classic and one of my favorite guilty pleasures. I don't have high hopes for a remake as this story is super dated and it will be hard to live up to the original, but I'm still interested to see how they go about making this type of drama in 2021.
Tbh I haven't liked any Korean remakes of dramas from other countries, I am certain it won't be as good as the original. There is a charm to Taiwanese dramas that dramas from other countries just don't have, also the script and acting was just so perfect in the original. Also Wu Bai's Last Dance was such an important part of the entire feeling of this show, there is no way they'll be able to capture it with a different artist. I wish they would leave this drama alone.
Goodbye My Princess was a big hit but it still took quite a while for Peng Xiao Ran to start getting more roles but now she has a bunch of dramas lined up. I hope the same will happen for YBY and she'll start getting more opportunities.
Yeah the dubbing can be really jarring in some dramas, it takes a lot of getting used to. Even when it's the actor's actual voice instead of a voice actor, it's usually still recorded in a studio instead of when they're on-site filming.
Love You Forever, Royal Nirvana, Dear Missy, Legend of the Condor Heroes. She did very well in all of them and is one of the better actresses in her age range. Plus why are you so hung up on beauty? So superficial.
If you’re looking for something original, this is not the drama for you. This has a common plot. Many drama…
I've kept watching and it did get better. I just finished watching Meeting You and Begin Again and I was just tired of the childhood connections thing because both of those dramas had it too lmao. I really like this drama though, the chemistry between the leads is great and it's just a nice, refreshing drama. The SFL is so adorable too. Thanks for responding :)

Ahhh okay, hopefully the cheesiness of the childhood connection won't ruin it for me lol. But if their relationship progresses well enough I'll probably still enjoy the romance. Thank you for the response!
Hi!! I don't feel there are bad plot devices becoz it's far from stupid conflicts taking episodes and episodes…
I love a sweet fluffy romance, but I'm getting sooo tired of the childhood connections being the reason for the couple falling in love. Does the FL fall in love naturally over time with him or is it because she finds out she knew him as a kid?

Does the FL fall in love with him naturally over time or is it because she finds out she knew him as a kid? That's really my biggest issue atm. I hate when dramas take the shortcut of having them know each other as kids to force them into liking each other.
Ok so I've only seen the first episode but still here's the one negative comment to help balance out this section...
Is anyone else super tired of dramas where the male lead clearly dislikes the female lead in the beginning but then he finds out he knew her as a kid and all of a sudden he is in love, because I sure as hell am exhausted with this setup. Someone who isn't a blind fan of the leads and can see the good and the bad please tell me if this is worth continuing or if it will just be more bad plot devices and cliches?
