I was apprehensive about watching this because of the age difference. VC is still a kid. It’s understandable…
Romance is the first tag there so when you see that and then you see the age gap it's extremely off-putting. Like, I do not care about age gaps within the realms of the drama's story and the character's ages at all. That kind of stuff does not bother me when the real life actors are all consenting adults. It just was worrisome seeing that the lead is 17 years old and it looked like romance would be a major focus. It really weirded me out. But if it is as minimal as folks are saying and there isn't any skinship, I'll give it a shot.
I’ve watched through ep. 34 and only saw two very awkward hugs, one compassionate (much needed) hug while she…
I mean, she may be great at acting and her character may be very mature but I will still know that the actress is a child and is playing a romance with a middle aged man. IU was a woman in her mid twenties playing a 21 year old, it's quite different. From all of these comments it seems like I would usually love this type of drama, but I won't be able to look past that fact.
There's a romance tag, please tell me it's not between the minor and the middle aged man? I don't mind age gaps, and I know her character is supposed to be an adult, but the actress is still a kid. That would be disturbing to watch.
Can anyone recommend more dramas kike this where you want to slap the hell out of the mistress. Im kinda in the…
The Korean Drama "I Have A Lover" has one of the most infuriating mistresses I've ever seen. It's a makjang and will definitely get your blood boiling lmao.
if people complain about the age gap don't watch it, if you guy watched the drama that i mention the following…
People did complain about those dramas though lmao. If you go back before Count Your Lucky Stars aired the entire comments section was about how disgusting they thought the age gap was. The same thing happened with Dating in the Kitchen too. Also why are you bringing up real people and their real relationships and acting like people should be upset with them? That's so fucking weird for you to compare actual real life people who are married to fictional ones and act like we as fans should have an opinion. That's super fucked up.
I don't find a moral issue with this drama but I dislike age gap dramas where it's so obvious that one person's a lot older so I won't be watching this. But don't act like people are upset because it's an older woman, the outrage happens on both sides.
are you korean? if not then you don't have the right to tell koreans on what they should find offensive and what…
Oh god, I didn't mean they shouldn't be offended. I should have worded it differently. Obviously a foreigner has no place to say whether or not they should be offended. I was wondering why their taking offense resulted in an almost complete piece of work not being allowed to air when I've seen many other dramas that stray from historical accuracy and not have this happen. Censorship is never a good thing, I don't think you have to be Korean to recognize that.
Well, because recently there are some controversies regarding hanbok and kimchi which were said to be appropriated…
Thanks for explaining. I still don't think a piece of fiction/art should be censored because of this though. Cancelling the drama completely instead of just putting a disclaimer like I've seen done on a number of other sageuks is so extreme.
Why are they outraged about this? So many dramas have historical inaccuracies but they don't get cancelled when they're 80% done with the production. This is ridiculous.
