Any sensible National Assembly would not give this kind of silliness the time of day beyond the necessary administrative procedures. It's a fictional alternate-history drama in which they are free to mix whatever clothing and vocabulary they like, because it does not purport to be a depiction of reality.
You would think the country had more important matters to tend to. Its citizens, too.
it should have 16 EP I don’t know why Korea started doing 12 in all new dramas
Production costs have ballooned in recent years, including episode fees for the main stars. Truncating the episode order is a way to cut costs to lessen the impact of this. The other aspect is the influence of the "Netflix model" which has always been shorter than 16 episodes.
Good for him he really dosen’t fit the role Hope role goes to ryeoun or lomon
Both Ryeoun and Lomon are way too big to play a light flyweight boxer. The average height in this weight class (<49kg) is less than 5 feet 6. Park Ji-hoon was actually perfectly cast in that sense.
He's hugely popular so that won't happen. You can just not watch his dramas, it's not hard.
I mean this is a comment section, so it's quite naive to expect that when you talk down on an actor, creating some fantasy that people are "tiring of them", nobody would reply to you with a different perspective.
In this case it wasn't even about "defending" anyone. The reality is that he is still hugely popular and will have plenty of offers waiting when he is discharged. He will keep starring in high-profile dramas next to actors and actresses you like. So it's not hard. Either you get over it and watch or you don't.
Take heart that as per Wikipedia, this drama is ranked No.1 in South Korea since Ep 3 by Nielsen rating company.
No. 1 in its time slot, in which no other major networks are airing dramas. It would almost be harder *not* to be first. But My Liberation Notes had similarly low ratings and it still won awards and is fondly remembered. TV ratings don't matter that much.
I was excited about this, but sadly the terminal illness aspect means I can't watch it. It's just one of those things I really hate, and it seems unnecessary to perpetuate the "bury your gays" trope. It could've still been sad and bittersweet and deep without giving Johan a terminal condition.
scheduled to be 8 episodes and production is delayedhttps://x.com/ggonigone/status/2038968325917782420
Makes sense to delay if they want Choi Hyun-wook, as I think he's still filming Soul (or whatever it's called now) and I assume Green Light will start filming too soon.
