Slow burn does not have anything to do with the number of episodes; you can even have a movie that portrays a slow burn romance.

Just confused why every comment section for romcoms get hijacked by people complaining about a love triangle if it's such a common thing. Like then that's what you've signed up for. Grown people fast-forwarding through Park Seo-ham's scenes like he's personally offended them... 😭

What, like it's hard? Melo Movie, My Dearest Nemesis, Doctor Slump, Midnight Romance in Hagwon, and of course Business Proposal. Lots of romance dramas which focus more on second couples (or office drama) than love triangles.

Yet they keep watching all the dramas with this trope anyway. Make it make sense!

Hiding his feelings in the drama does not mean hiding his feelings from the audience. If the audience just register blankness from a performance, that means the performer has not been able to convey the subtleties of the character.

We are meant to see him struggling with the nature of the family he was brought up in and his more good-natured instincts. But more often than not, his reactions in scenes with other characters are just giving nothing.

Hong Min Ki is not very good at conveying things with his face (it often just reads blank) so I was also confused until another character explicitly calls out the "turmoil in his eyes" when he looks at her or whatever it was, so yeah, he's head over heels for her, just very tsundere about it.

Interesting that "suspense" seems to be a genre, curious what that is about.

Bae In-hyuk is so good in this, but I just can't with the FL anymore. She sort of worked for me in Hierarchy because of what the character was going through, so it made sense she was a bit flat and expressionless. But she's so flat here as well, her eyes are sleepy and with little emotion. She basically looks like she needs a good meal and a nap at all times. There's just no presence in the acting whatsoever.

Age gaps don't bother me, but Kim Go-eun's grandma haircut doesn't exactly help things, or that Kim Jae-won in the suit and glasses feels almost like a kid playing dress-up. How to take this seriously?

Chaemin will do great. And most of the actors you mention are busy with other projects, as well as too old for the role. What's this thing with wanting 30-somethings in a school uniform?

So he's doing both this and The Miracles of the Namiya General Store? 🤔

They air on different days, so not in direct competition with each other on TV in Korea. This also has the benefit of Netflix global distribution, which has a much wider reach than Disney+.

Stuff being leaked to the press isn't new in Korea and it's a distraction from the actual investigation.
