Really don't take too seriously what people say here about other series since after all, it's all a matter of personal taste. I think Lovely writer was one of the best Bl series this year. If you can, I really recommend watching it. It has flaws for sure but the qualities of the show really stand out (cinematography, Gene's acting, beautiful and impactful scenes, great chemistry...). The sound effects were quite distracting at the beginning but after they use them a lot less, so it was really bearable for people annoyed by them.
However, I didn't like that much the plot of the special episode (except the very beautiful ending scene with the main couple and the compelling acting).
Except that special episode, the series was so impactful for me that I still cannot get into another Bl serie nowadays. It was THAT good. Well, I think so.

I'm not sure about this one. Episode 1 lacks something and the plot seems a little uninspired. But it seems entertaining, so I'll watch the next episode.

I've tried but I couldn't finish it. Maybe another time I'll try to watch it again.

I really like this series too ;) And well as they say in the episode : "We cannot please everyone no matter how hard we try to create".

Episode 5 was endearing and so beautiful ! I still really like this series since it is a breath of fresh air for me, especially if you have a stressful and very busy life. It's like a parenthesis where you can finally take your time and appreciate every little things in life.
Also I feel bad but I could not help laughing when Aue was clinging to Aek when it was dark inside the house lol I find it cute somehow lol

I just found that Northern Thai is quite known for being spoken slowly (with a sweet sounding) compared to Southern Thai. So maybe it is really like that ? They take their time lol. If I remember correctly Aek comes from Northern Thailand ?

It can happen in real life ? People flirting right away and feeling strong attraction ? Sorry but I still don't understand what is really bothering you. It's like you've never felt love at first sight or a strong attraction with someone you've just met. It can happen. If you've never felt like that, well, I understand why you feel like this is not possible already at the beginning. But really it is possible.

They are more than good looking since they are good actors too...Well the problem comes from you then (as you say : you feel detached). As for story depth, well it is another matter. I think it is too soon since we have 12 episodes. It has barely started. But I really don't understand your remark about those stares since it seems quite obvious for me. They are anything but blank ? Oh well, this is just not your series then.

I feel the same thing with the secondary couple (and their not very good acting doesn't help too). Fortunately I love too much the main couple, so I will ignore the second one lol

Yes, people are weird. Sometimes you don't understand why they judge harshly one series and are really magnanimous with another one which is not really I would say a masterpiece. I don't know. it's like some series personally offend them on a subconscious level lol

The stares ! The damn stares ! Great chemistry (and tension) between the main couple ! What a lovely series !
PS : for those who think it is too slow and boring, better stop watching now. This is slice of life kind of series so it won't be as fast as you want it too be. It just means you don't like the genre, I think.

Great episode 2 ! The acting scene at the end was heartbreaking and so well-acted ! I like the fact that the food shots are not for nothing, but linked to the feelings of the characters (frustration, passion etc.) and the progression of the story (the usual work routine, the childhood memory, the "conflict" etc.) ...so no, it is not only "food porn" (well...)lol There is a meaning behind all of this (except for those annoying ads you find in Thai BL unfortunately).
