If the answer was truly Shiqi or Jing, then why didn't she say either of his names immediately? Even at the gambling den when she was completely sober, she only said "The person I like is the one I want to spend my life with." (Look at Jing's expression after he heard that lol)

And I'm curious as to what makes you think Xiang Liu believed her answer would be Jing and that he thought Fenglong was a good fit for her? In ep 39, he literally told Jing, "How come it's Fenglong?" Sounds like you're just projecting your thoughts onto his to suit your narrative that Xiao Yao loves only Jing.

Yes I totally understand how you feel. A lot of people are on the same boat, even me 🥲 but I believe that it's worth watching for their scenes and amazing chemistry, even if they don't end up together. You can always skip/fast forward the scenes that you don't like or don't have Xiang Liu and Xiao Yao.

I didn't know that having empathy towards women is considered infantilization now. Hmm that's interesting. You learn something new everyday I guess.

I don't condone FFYY's actions, obviously, but I do feel bad for how she was treated by Tushan Hou.

I already know people are gonna come at me saying that she doesn't deserve any empathy or sympathy because of her actions. In my defense, and maybe it's cuz I'm more of an emotional person, I believe that it is possible to hate someone for what they did while at the same time empathize with them for what they experienced. I have felt this same way with many villains in the past like Princess Wanning from The Double and Runyu from Ashes of Love.

The brilliant acting and beautiful cinematography is what keeps me going. Plus Tan Jianci. And Yang Zi. And of course Xiang Liu.

Just something interesting I noticed and wonder if it has any hidden meaning? Because the camera seemed to heavily emphasize this scene. Surely there's a reason... or maybe I'm just over-analyzing everything in Lost You Forever now 🤣

When Xiao Yao was upset and confused about her identity, Jing grabbed the kettle to pour a bowl of tea/water and offer it to her, while Cang Xuan straight up offered her a jug of wine without even pouring it into a bowl. Jing offered his drink first and more enthusiastically than Cang Xuan, but Xiao Yao chose to drink Cang Xuan's wine instead. Even after taking a sip, she turned to look at Cang Xuan first.

I also just realized some cool details about their clothing in the scene. Jing's clothes are bright while Cang Xuan's are dark. On the other hand, Xiao Yao's clothes has light gray, dark gray, and black.

Yes I'm still pissed about their punishments. They should've reversed it! Whoever decided that is stupid for accepting Tushan Hou's statement that Fangfeng Yiying seduced him. It takes TWO to tango.

Zhang Wan Yi is a wonderful actor who portrayed Cang Xuan's complex feelings so well in Lost You Forever. His voice is beautiful and soothing too. Can't wait to see more of him!
