The love triangle is not that bad. Of course, it's natural to feel pity for Yu Mo (2ML) since he's a great guy, very sweet, and cares for Yan Dan (FL). However, I can't see him as anything more than a friend. Maybe it's cause I saw little to no romantic chemistry between them?

I think the writers could've made Yu Mo not have romantic feelings for Yan Dan and that wouldn't have made a difference, since he doesn't even pursue them anyway. He's not constantly moping around about his unrequited love like typical second leads lol. His love is unconditional and mature from start to end; he respects Yan Dan's feelings for Ying Yuan (ML) and simply wants her to be happy.

But everyone's opinion is subjective so you can take this with a grain of salt. Just try watching and see if you like it!

Oh! I checked the episodes again and I think I found what you're talking about. Ep 45, around the 16:35 - 19:30 timestamp.

Oh yeah I ended up realizing that in episode 3. For the first 2 episodes though, YWS was very eager to fight back haha. I was afraid her identity would get revealed so soon, if not for SGQ and that Wufeng guy who helped her (I forgot his name) reminding her.

Actually, nvm y'all.... I changed my mind lmao. I don't want S2 to drop asap anymore, I don't want LYF to end...

Even though there are aspects of it that I'm salty about, I still love and appreciate LYF as a whole. The story is just too good! I don't want to let go of it anytime soon 😭

Finally... SGQ is going to live in GSJ's residence and YWS in GZY's. Things will get more interesting.

My biggest dislike about this drama right now is GZY. I'm really hoping he undergoes some MAJOR character development. He is so frustrating and such a simp for YWS like- you're the Sword Wielder now! Can you please be more mature and not let love blind you? It should've been GSJ smh. Gong Residence, how are y'all gonna let this guy ru(i)n your place. I wouldn't be surprised if he sacrificed Gong Residence just for YWS.

(And why do I get the vibe that GYZ is going to be killed off later? Because I swear to god, every time there's a wholesome sibling/friend relationship, one of them dies🥲 Please don't spoil me on this. I need to see for myself if this prediction will come true.)

Overall, this drama is okay so far. Just that there's a lot of slow, boring talk about politics and whatnot so I watch on 1.1 - 1.6x speed. I love the scenes with SGQ the most... and yes that's me being biased lmao.

Look at Ae/Sawit and Tor/Sila's dad. Man had a mistress and a child with her then DIPPED. Left a bloody mess for others to clean up. But hey! He poppped back up out of nowhere and acted like a justice-seeking hero so he's redeemed now, only because he's supporting our ML of course. What about your wife Sida and son Ae? Did you ever care about them?

And I couldn't wrap around my head that Min's dad cheated. His character is so sweet that I'd sometimes forget and can't believe he even did that. Even the seemingly genuinely nice male characters turned out to be rotten. 😒

Heavy on the doctor one omfg. I was like bro... is that even allowed, to let your girlfriend or literally anyone except staff to sleep on those beds? This is not a hotel or daycare, it's a hospital! Go sleep at your own house?? There were like 4 beds in there. Imagine a tired staff came in to sleep and saw the FL aka random stranger who's definitely not an employee just casually sleeping there. In real life, Dr Mo would've likely been fired.

Also agree that ML comes off as a try hard. You don't need to do absolutely everything and potentially hurt yourself (like driving in the rain) just to be seen as a gentleman and the perfect green flag boyfriend. Then, it doesn't help that the FL does practically nothing for the ML in return, except being his girlfriend. I really wished their give and take dynamic was more equal.

Well, in the end, this drama is either your cup of tea or not.... but even if you like it, you can't deny that the meant-to-be-cute-and-sweet aspects are overdone. Some people are able to turn off their brains while watching. Unfortunately I'm not one of them 🥲

From 35 to 40 episodes... Hopefully they didn't add fillers or drag the plot. I'm assuming this will air in mid 2024.
