I can't find it now but a while back, I saw a rumor on X/Twitter that the production team edited the kiss scenes to look less intense/passionate. I'm hoping it's not true but with China's strict censorship laws, who knows? 😭 If they don't, at least we have that one leaked clip :')

Well... if you view the drama that way then I hope you never read the novel LOL. The drama does a way better job of making their relationship dynamic more equal but yes, it's still flawed. And ML fell in love with FL because he liked her voice. No other reason. Think of it as love at first sight except it's love at first hearing.
Though I agree with your comment 100%. A third of me is enjoying this drama while the other two-thirds are criticizing it lmao. I'm trying to hold it in for Tan Jianci because it's his first ML romance drama.

i think it's the filters, styling, and makeup that made the characters look younger. even tan jianci (33 in real life) could pass for 25 in this drama

The story is most likely going to focus more on the voice acting and the love/relationship, so I don't think you'll have to worry about it becoming a medical drama!

@Kokuto Ah yes, Ru Shuo! Even though I'll probably dislike him just a little bit in s2 :') There are so many more characters I could add. Xiyan Emperor, Haoling Emperor, Fanfeng Yiying, Xinyue, Laosang, Xiaoxiao, Jin Xuan... and of course the Qingshui squad (Laomu, Chuanzi, Tianzi, Tian'er)

Episode 11 is my favorite so far. The guy friends are hilarious, and of course it's always funny seeing Mo Qing Cheng and Gu Sheng trying to hide their relationship 🤣

But I'm a bit sad we didn't get to see Mo Qing Cheng rest his head on Gu Sheng's shoulder like in the novel... :(

Mo Qing Cheng (Tan Jianci) is not dubbed. Both singing and speaking are his own voice.

Gu Sheng (Zhou Ye)'s speaking voice is her own, but her singing is done by another person (who seems to be Le Xiaotao)
