In the first place, I decided to watch this movie because I liked the poster and because I like everything related to gangsters. But sweet Jesus, the violence! I have never watched anything as brutal, gritty and raw. There is a scene when you can hear how someone's eyes are being dug out from their sockets. That's something I can't shake off my mind, like ever. At some scenes, I had to close my eyes and I am not a sensitive person. So if you like blood splatter and all the gore, go for this. This movie is all about the violence and a lot less about anything else. The violence was the best part, anyway. Acting is decent, I don't have complains or praises. The characters stay distant and there is not much development; they are sort of bland and boring. The plot solely concentrates on taking revenge without much drama. Well, there is a bit of drama but it remains hollow and completely unnecessary. The female character's purpose in this movie is questionable. And personally, I found it hard to connect with any of the characters. The ending had an impact, but I think it was very predictable. And there were some plot holes that could have been easily avoided. A lot of things in this movie happen, sort of, all of a sudden and leave you wondering. All in all, I think Soo is the type of movie you either like or dislike. It's a mediocre action flick, which doesn't leave you with much to say.
