started off real strong but that battle royale/lord of the flies plot on the second half bored me. besides those…
i can recommend some of the best manga live action adaptations out there if you'd like because this idea of Japan not knowing how to do live actions is BS and everyone likes to jump on the bandwagon that anime fans are on despite having only watched only 1-2 films and they feel like they've seen everything that Japan has to offer with their films
Why does Ren have to be named Kira, all I ever think of is Yagami Light from Death Note lol
Enjoyed the first episode, lots of fluff but also has some moral lessons like learning to love and appreciate for being who you are and learning to accept other people's differences.
I'm excited just for Abe Hiroshi, Nagasawa Masami and Oikawa Mitsuhiro ^^ I haven't watched the first season yet…
I've watched season one. I think you can just immediately watch this. even though you're missing out on a star-studded cast. But I'm definitely sure that there will be references and cameos from the first season every once in a while.
Like Masami Nagasawa is also reappearing in this sequel, which I'm excited about!
I hope this doesn't put a stain on your view of jdramas because other dramas this season and next seasons have…
If you don't mind me recommend some, there are some great romance dramas as of recently
- Remolove - Horimiya (i think you'll love this one, rather fluffy and so cute) - Neechan no Koibito - Uchi no Musume wa, Kareshi ga Dekinai - 35sai no Shoujo (more of a family drama)
at first I was really caught off guard that Juichi died and was flabbergasted that it was so sudden, was also afraid that this would ruin this drama but as the story kept progressing, it made perfect sense and it's very much clear that writer Kudokan had planned this all along. really bittersweet finale, had me on a roller coaster of emotions (I'll admit I cried a lot!) I always wondered if Juichi would ever look after himself but no, he was a family man through and through and it shows, he was beloved by his family. I'm glad Juichi finally got to be praised by Juju, while it was long overdue, it's comforting that Juichi got to hear it from his dad. That scene where he's talking to Juichi personally was so sad because all this build up to take care of him from the very beginning and it turned out to be he himself outliving his son and no parent should ever go through that :(
such a beautiful heartwarming family drama, loved it. will miss tomoya and juichi very much!
This drama is a must-watch for Tomoya Nagase fans <3
The finale was so heartwarming but so bittersweet too, Kudokan made sure Tomoya in this drama got a beautiful tribute (casting a lot of his co-stars in the past, snuck in references of his past dramas, etc) & perfect send off especially with his recent departure from TOKIO and Johnny's. Even though that Tomoya isn't in Johnny's anymore as of today, I hope he doesn't consider completely quitting from making new music and appearing in dramas and movies because it would be a real loss for the industry and the fans. If not for your performance in My Boss My Hero and your cool singing voice in Sorafune, I would've never gotten into japanese dramas! If Ore no Ie no Hanashi was indeed your last drama, then what a way to go out with a beautifully written drama, clearly made to be a tribute from writer Kankuro Kudo for you.
but I will forever support whatever the path he chooses in his life moving forward <3 wish him and TOKIO the best!!
長瀬くん、お疲れ様でした thank you for entertaining us fans with your music and your acting!
edit: sorry i didn't mean to rant
