If you're a fan of him, watch it. I'm hooked to how loyal he is and the bromance is giving. He shows alot of his own personal skills from superstar K3 audition days? The dancing and singing. Its the characters' dream to be a singer as well. And I think there is romance between him and FL sister.
Ep2 had me bawling from the onset to the end. Much tighter plot and pacing in ep2. The emotional elements were good and with the right amount of comedic relief. Didn't drag this episode.
People generally rate after seeing one episode. Then they reduce or increase it later as the episodes continue…
If it was fans of his, it would be 10 right now, I can point you in the direction of some other dramas where that has happened.
Looking at the currently watching lists of some accounts here, rating 10 based on 1-2 ep of other shows they like. Its what happens, you rate each ep as you watch, so ofcourse some are keen and rating high or low etc. Its also MDL, its either really low or really high. This is not what bombing the ratings looks like. 8.3 is actually quite normal.

I also took it to mean, she "stops" Taepoong from withering away. Keeping the flower alive by nurturing it with water/sun. Metaphorically what she may end up doing with him personally and helping his company.
Not everything has to be a global hit to be satisfying or to be enjoyed. There are so many niche dramas that have their own following too. As long as you enjoy it because you're a kdrama fan or a fan of the artists than that's successful. That's all that matters. Everything else is a bonus.
Click bait article title!! Is this necessary? Why are we comparing? He doesn't need that kind of pressure nor is it a competition. Why can't all dramas do well on their own? And his drama is not a romcom, so the mass appeal will always different for the genre of his drama and I'm proud of him for choosing that.
Full trailer looks pretty solid to me. So much fun. So many genres and dynamics! Intermixing emotional scenes with comic relief! And slow burn romance. We haven’t had a 16 episode drama in a long while! 😭
