However, when they’re together, the mood becomes noticeably softer, cuter, and lighter. It’s interesting to see how their presence offers a brief escape from the harsh realities of their world. While this may change in future episodes, it’s genuinely so cute to see them find solace in each other’s company.

I think he deliberately chose to change himself for the better, he doesn't let the women die and helps dome to the hospital, both of which lead him to tyme, the present Great is probably trying to lead himself back to tyme over and over again

Great analysis! I had the same thought as you—thinking episode 2 would give me some clarity, but it only confused me more 🤣. Sammon really didn't hold back with this script. One thing I'm sure of is that Great is most likely living in the past, as the woman in the beginning mentioned when she had a heart attack. Probably, all of these events will lead to him being in that hospital bed we see in episode 1.
