I agree, the show doesn't see Kanda as a villain at all, it depicts him as someone who helped and cared for Akira when Akira was a lost and upset gay teenager. So I therefore don't really see the point in writing diatribes about grooming or whatnot when the show itself doesn't see it that way. We weren't watching a show about a predator, there was zero manipulation or malice there. And if the show doesn't consider it an issue, than I don't see the point in crying about it either.

Like, the production companies/networks know these sites exist and the sites get DMCA notices all the time, which is why you'll see the country code on their URL change a lot, as they just move through the different countries while ignoring the DMCA notices, lol. Companies aren't as stupid as some people online think they are; they're fully aware that their content is being stolen, and they're fully aware of WHERE it's being uploaded.

Qi Min plans a coup with Grand Tutor Li and fights his way into the palace, dragging along Qian Qian who he plans to make Empress, but he ends up being shot by an arrow and falls over a wall. He somehow survives the fall, lol, but by then Marquis Wu'An and his men have already defeated Qi Min's army, so Qi Min is put in jail and then given poison by Qian Qian and dies. Qian Qian's son becomes Emperor and she becomes Dowager Empress.

I'm not surprised it's doing well internationally. I don't follow c-ent closely, I just watch the shows, so I hadn't heard of this at all until it started and all of a sudden everyone I follow was watching it and loving it. I then started it and also love it, lol. It's always really interesting to see which shows do well internationally but not well domestically.

This though. I actually enjoyed it and would recommend it, but I think it was Toh I had the most issues with because he knew exactly what Jimmy was doing and stayed with him anyway, lol. At some point, I just can't sympathise with a character who willingly puts themself in that position.

We saw them kissing and about to have sex several times, we just didn't see the penetration because this is a fluffy show so NC scenes weren't really expected.
