For those asking if there's love triangle-Barely love triangle. I think the love triangle lasted 2 eps and jj clarified things with zq. zq was just scared of losing his chance to be a real family and be registered in the Li household name. His desire was to be legally a son in Li household, he's not even officially adopted on papers. He's more like an unofficial foster son. He's always wanted a family, and he's more obsessed with Li dad than LJJ. He thought the only way to be registered in the Li household was to marry JJ, so when he found out JJ and LX would be together he got anxious and paniced bc his only chance was lost. He doesn't love JJ in a romantic way at all, all his antics to her is of a brother, he said he won't even kiss her and he finds it disgusting and would put her head in the fridge to cool her dirty mind.

When I see comments saying they prefer zq and jj together instead, I just want to facepalm bc they don't look at the obvious hints this drama provides. Why would JJ marry a man that doesn't even want to make love or kiss her. It would be a romantless marriage, she would be so miserable. Instead, he's a filial and loyal son and brother. All three characters are great in their own way. ZQ provides us a roller coaster of emotions, I can laugh and cry in 1 minute bc of him.

We can empathize and relate more to zq bc he's expressive. He doesn't keep his emotions inside, he's able to have a normal childhood and make friends and have hobby in high school While LX is more complex character, he's lived his childhood in remorse and guilt bc he thinks he killed his bio sister, when in fact it's bc his mom locked the door so she can play mahjong out, but she blames him. So he keeps to himself and is desolute. He was never given proper child therapy, and then his mom in a car accident and all of a sudden he had to grow up way too soon to take care of his emotionally unstable, suicidal handicap mom and child half sister. Not only that he has to study meds, so he's a student, baby sitter and house keeper. His only happiness was with with Li family and JJ, but even that's taken away from him. There are clues that he would've suicided in Singapore if not for the hope that one day he will go back to China with JJ.

As for why the brothers couldn't visit JJ when they went abroad. Well roundtrip plane tix from England to China were expensive and as a student abroad he has to pay for living, food and school fees. I doubt he has the money at that time. As for LX, whenever he mentions JJ or Li family, his mom will go crazy and start her suicidal antics in order to make sure lx won't leave her side.

I've watched this drama 5 years ago and it's still one of my favourites.

This is the most active I've seen her during her long breaks. She did mention she's not looking at scripts or joinging any more dramas this year. But, she surprised us with the short film, and now may participate as cameo for another drama. She filmed two dramas back to back without much break, she deserves a nice one. That's the great thing of not being in an agency, she can do her own pace and have a better work life balance

I was so annoyed when I see all these people saying she has no skills or it's ridiculous she's holding a concert and what songs does she have or where she get the qualitifcation to switch to being a singer. They don't know that she's composed and sang her own songs and every drama of hers she's sang OST. This is her end of the year gift to her fans to thank them. She's not making any money for this concert, it's probably going to be really really cheap and won't even cover the cost of renting the venue. It's something to do with how China policies are, and that she has to register as a concert to have it happen. Anyways, I'm very excited, and it seems like XY will be airing this month also bc IQIYI just announced the Dec line up and XY is in it!!

It’s most likely what Luckyseven mentioned. A guest cameo role for a favour. The plot might be boring but it could be another winner like knock out. It’s not a bad thing for ss to be in more male type of drama. Unfortunately, it’s for her and/or most actresses to star in these type of genres. Her drama is mainly romance related with a side of career aspect. Plus, She can meet new actors and network. If the director asks her to be in it means he really liked the collaboration they had with xy and he likes her as an actress and person.

If it is true, it most likely just a guest cameo role. Since the director is the same one from xy and knock out. Just like zly who guested in xy to pay a favour to the director. Perhaps the director asked the same favour for ss and she agreed.

SS is filming a short film lately, however whats surprising and an honour is the director is Teng Congcongwho directed To the Wonder 2024 which won the best drama on Magnolia Award and Send Me to the Clouds which won best supporting actress in the 32nd Golden Rooster Award. This time, ss also is interacting with Academician Ruan Yongbin for this short film.

SS if very low key, and if it was any other celeb this might already be trending. Our girl is paving her way to be an honest hardworking actress, not a celebrity. She's always differentiated herself from being an actress vs celeb. So we shouldn't be discourage that she's not receiving as much lime light or exposure as other traffic artists. We should remind ourselves that there are many other people that notice our girl, that includes respectible directors and scholars. Our girl is sweet, clean, simple, hard working, kind hearted, driven, clear minded, humble and low key. The inner entertainment circle can see this, hence why there's director such as Knock out director, and Teng Congcong willing and wanting to collab with SS. I'm very proud of ss, and I'm sure her fans are as well. We will continue to support her and see her growth in the coming years.

I didn't expect Cheng Yi and RJL's dramas to air on cctv in Dec. i think one of those slots was prob for XY. Sadly, it most likely will be postponed to Jan. I have my winter break and would like to watch ss' drama while I'm off, but I do want this drama to get a fair chance to shine
