I happened to chance upon this since I keep seeing this drama and Youjung's face on the site I usually watch dramas on. I've watched 2 eps and it's so good. You can see from the environment fl grew up in that she dissociates herself a lot, and she becomes so wicked, I loved it. She's also very skilled in manipulation in men, she got the ml wrapped around her finger as a child.

No matter how shitty a parent is, it's by China law that their children have to be filal and take care of them. If they don't the parent can sue their child.

As for the drama, I think it's not just about Culture. This alcoholic, abusive man is known in this small town for his antics, yet the townsfolk turn a blind eye. This is an examplar of being educated and living in the big city vs in the small town. fl's parents divorced, while ml's family continued to stick together in this unfortunate household. I think the culture of "face" place a part of why everyone turns a blind eye with ml's family situation. Everything is kept hush or under the cover. They know the facts, but if no one talks about it openly then it's not exposed.

I really really like Chu Lin Yang, brother of fl. I also like the actor who plays him, Cao Jun. He's such an amazing martial arts actor. I hope one day he will have his 2nd blossom and explode again and partner with an actress I like. Meanwhile, Victoria has gotten so pretty, I really like her hair style in this drama. Other than Liqin's female general, I think Victoria would be the next female general that actually looks the part.

I totally agree. I think it's about 1-2yrs ago that her style has improved immensely. Must've hired a new team. This time she surprised me bc it's not the princess girlie type she usually go for during award shows. She also dyed her hair blue to spice things up.

It already began on tiktok, i was sooo annoyed. A ss fan made a video of XY and the cp fans of his latest drama, was saying they have no cp, and won't like ss. I was so annoyed, like the drama hasn't even aired yet.
