This drama started strong and high, and it has continued to be stable and I believe it will end on a high as well. Which is amazing!! I hope this drama boost ss' status in the industry. GA made the industry people acknowledge her, so I hope MD does as well. If LXRG does well, then it's consecutive wins

MD has got to be the most easiest watch I have experienced with SS' drama (except GA ofc). I have never in my entire life watch 11 eps in 3 days

ep 19 is an exciting new arch in FWZ's chapter. We get to see upper society and how they run business in corporate level. Seems like FWZ wants to be CEO assistant for experience as she's still running her own business on the side

I'm so proud and happy for Xing Ke! I was worried he's come back to the real world with resentment and desolution, instead he's very openminded and amazingly got his bachelors and now aiming for masters! His future is still very bright

At times she comes across as a bit headstrong and overly confident, and it makes me worry she might be overlooking some important warning signs-which I'm sure she did

Gao Xiang often mentions his students, like where he gets the money and intel from, but I suspect it's from his father or his father's company. I bet he's a wealthy dude himself. If they are students where would they have all these money and intel. Very sus haha

Never said education is bad, but she needs to go back for the right cause and education that can help her in her goals/career. I'm aware she goes back for night school for business or something, which I wholeheartedly agree she should do. Can't succeed without proper knowledge of that specific area. However, going back to her uni and to her program to finish that 1 year to get a degree that she no longer would need in the field is a waste of time.

by being the inbetween party of production/factory and whole same, the inbetween person makes a load more. FWZ gained enlightment from this.

She goes back to college and then what? Go back to Shenzhen and continue where she left off. Why waste a year in college when she can gain more expereince in the real world. 80s-90s in Shenzhen is so propsperous that it's real when one isn't afraid if working hard and enduring hardship can become successful and rich. I heard my mom say it all the time, and she would often say if she never immigrated she would've started a second hand clothing store with her friend and most likely would've been successful given the market.

I only finished up to ep 14 today, so maybe there's more "good fortune" that I haven't seen yet in upcoming eps. However, if you mean the "good fortune" from her adopted family resources such has her dad being vice mayor, and college etc. then I think it's because of guilt. After realizing she has no blood ties with adopted dad, there's this invisible line she couldn't cross anymore. I find it natural that behaviour will change and can't go back to how it was. For me, I wouldn't be able to throw attitude and tantrum on my parents anymore, bc I don't have that confidence and arrogance. No matter how in the past when I acted and my parents would dote on me. The perception and knowledge has change. That said, it's because of guilt. Fwz believes this love, resource anything adopted family gave her didn't belong to her. It's like she took someone's place. So, in order for her to lessen her conscience and to find another way to accept this she has to prove her worth. Hence why she wants to make it big, be successful in ShenZhen. So that one day she can be proud, she doesn't want to lose face to her adopted dad and she doesn't want him to worry or know her woes. She rather hide her troubles. I find that's very common in Chinese culture vs Western.

Ep 12-When adopted dad visited fwz. I feel like bc communication isn't as convenient and instant like today, it's always a waiting game. Poor man, everytime to see his daughter he waits half a day for her and by the time they do meet his time is running up and he has to leave.

When he was looking at her intently, without blinking his eyes, afraid that a blink is a second less of seeing her. My heart broke a bit. This reminded me of the live stream when actor wang jin song (adopted dad) said that FWZ has many important people and things in her life (at that stage in her life as she's in her 20s) and he's one of them, while to MSY (adoped dad) FWZ is the only person/thing that's important to him

I've never seen such positive word of mouth, review and buzz for a drama of this type, and of ss' drama. ss' drama typically get's anti's joining in to rally up, but I can't even see any anti posts. Or more like all the real, authentic posts overshadow any efforts the antis made. I go on weibo, douyin, little red book and all posts are positive. It's a drama that creates discussion, reflection, brings memories, reminisce. I keep reading comments that it brings the whole generation of families together in one place to watch TV. It's very heartwarming to know that a vast majority enjoy this drama and enjoy ss. It's another acknoledgement of her acting, and the cast as well!
