Okay, first of all, I mainly started this drama after being recommended by a friend. At that time my mind was seriously blown up by Song Joong Ki's acting in A Werewolf Boy, so I guess I would just give this a try. As its name states, this drama differs from other medical dramas as it strongly focuses on that two particular fields- obstetrics and gynecology. Each episode consists of one or two cases and every case featured is different from each other. If we talk about emotion dealing with mothers and babies, this drama excellently conveys that. Almost every single episode will not fail to make you tear up. It doesn't just open up audience's eyes to how these fields work, but also the sacrifice done by the parents and not to forget, of how annoying mothers-in-law can be; they just deteriorate the pure images of being mothers and I would be seriously upset if that really reflects on the reality. Being such a serious drama, having some romance being slipped into is such a relieve, so I really love the love story of Joong Ki and his nurse girlfriend. They are just so innocently cute- it feels like there are suddenly bubbles, butterflies and scent of cotton candies whenever they are on the screen :3 However, the main couple is a pure failure. I like them, but not as a couple. Age gap is not a problem for me, but there is just something lacking between them that I'm not sure of what it is. The actors aren't that familiar but they all did a good job being doctors and nurses- each of them! Not to forget how they really show how the surgeries go and the usage of 'real' organs; that just amuse me because not that many medical drama actually show that. Music- there is a song I remember which goes like..you're my everything..~ but I don't know the title lol. and I didn't really pay attention to other side background sounds but since they didn't bother me, they must have been added nicely to fit in the situations. It's a must watch for medical drama lovers or anyone who aspires to become a pediatric, gynecologist, etc. Or maybe you just want to take a peek into something new, this would be a good pick!
