Title Koibito yo
I wanted to watch this for years. It has the same writer as one of my favorite dramas, Aoi Tori - Nozawa Hisashi. Pretty much everything else he wrote also impresses me on some deep level, and this just felt like it would be very similar to Aoi Tori. Well it is, but sadly just not all that good. It was great for the first half or so, but turns rather silly near the end.

Still, I can see the beginnings of a story telling style that I am quite fond of, so it was still worth watching.

The second lead guy gets the girl, this might be the best example for that. If this was a betting game the odds…
He liked her the whole time but was hiding his feelings, probably even from himself, and probably because of her age. His friend, the sister of the dead singer, could see this, and that's why she got so jealous and went slightly crazy. Sure you could think she was wrong and just imagining things, but she knew him well, and was an expert on hiding one's feelings. So once everything was done and over she was able to casually get him to finally admit it. It all seems pretty realistic to me.

This comments was directed @sylwia. For some reason it put it under yours realdeal. I don't know who the old lady was. I think she was just an old lady.

I wasn't too surprised. I knew the creators wouldn't dare to have her end up with Sensei, so that only leaves him, and they don't even make a big deal out of it.

I was more surprised that she didn't die. When I saw her touch her throat once when she was singing, I swear I said to myself: "She has cancer. She is dead." It seems five and ten years ago every other drama was about somebody dying of some disease, usually cancer. No one ever survived. If you saw someone sneeze it was a death sentence.

Overall, I kind of have mixed feelings about this drama. I loved it in the beginning, then the cancer stuff almost ruined it for me, then the ending was pretty good.

If anyone from you wonder what is that song at the end of episode 3 I found this song on youtube tho I still don't…
I don't know how famous the song is, but Hanazawa Kana is in nearly every anime (lol). If your friend is the type of person to know voice actresses then he will surely know her, and if not, tell him to look up all her credits, I would bet money he has heard her as at least one character, and more likely a dozen.

It's called "Renai Saakyureeshon"(Love Circulation.) It's sung by Hanazawa Kana, she is a very popular anime voice actress, and this song was an opening theme from the anime Bakemonogatari.

After watching the 2 firsts episodes, I'm still thinking "what the heck was that ?". I don't know yet…
Yeah, I can agree with that. I haven't been watching Juhan Shuttai, but I can imagine it fitting your description.

The first thing that came to mind when I started watching this was Nihonjin no Shiranai Nihongo. It was a series of comic essays about a Japanese language teacher, teaching Japanese to foreigners. I had read the books and they were both informative and funny, but I thought the drama adaptation was pretty awful, and lacking in any overall plot. This reminded me of it, but is actually funny.

It's weird, which I think is a good thing, but I was afraid it wouldn't actually be funny, but so far I have been pleasantly surprised.

The only thing I would say is that so far none of the people's fixations have been particularly interesting or funny, but I agree that Mayu and Sairi's interactions are great. The end of the third episode was hilarious, and timed so well with the song. I watched that scene like ten times, laughing the whole time.

?But there has only been two episodes, it still is the beginning.

Please don't misunderstand, I am really loving this series so far. I already feel strong sympathy for the main character. I don't demand the story go in a certain direction, but I wouldn't feel it "cringe worthy" if it becomes openly romantic between the leads. Rather, I would be happy if it did.

As it stands now, she clearly likes him, and I think that he will eventually become more honest with his feelings and realize he likes her too, but I don't think they will end up together. Either way I'm really loving it.

If I'm going to watch romance, I rather prefer there be something interesting about it, like an age difference.

Sadly, I bet they will only toy with the idea. I don't think they will have the courage to depict these two ending up in an actual relationship.

But I hope I am wrong, and they surprise me.

Title Love That Makes You Cry Spoiler
This was the best drama I've seen in years. If this isn't good writing and acting, I don't know what is.

Really surprised at how it ended. Just from the name alone I expected a super sad ending, and then there was stuff that seemed to be foreshadowing death. So I was surprised at this, at least relatively, happy ending, but my feelings certainly appreciated it.
