Thank you, I was liking the drama (mostly to see the FL career lifting off and the interactions). But the last…
So, I was hoping that with the backlash, the producers would learn things and (1) try and rectify the trajectory of the drama, but most importantly (2) they would learn what people want and don't want to see anymore. I was naive, because they seem proud of their handywork and taunt us. Apparently the views are doing great.

Thai scriptwriters have a knack for taking really good ideas, interesting and highly spirited characters, funny villains, then dragging it through the mud. I don't understand why they need to rape, kill, their characters for no real reason. If I wanted to see a woman treated like a property (Tawan is hurt because the villain actually wanna hurt Tohmon), I have plenty of older dramas to go to. A funny, smart and independant FL is so rare in thai drama. I felt like we were gonna have some sort of sismance between the FL and Fah and So who are all three pretty great characters (at least at the start). I really thought they would subverse the usual trope of the evil second female lead... I had so much hope. Unfortunately, it seems that the writers did not yet make the leap into the 21st century. They had to drag all the women through the mud for no reason. This only goes to show, representation does matter. We need more female producers, writers and directors.

Domestic violence and abuse by Banleng and parents dont do anything to protect their daughter in their own house.…
I agree about everything you said except the ML's sister. She said it herself to Khun SO: If it was you would you like everybody to know.
I understand it as respecting Tawan's privacy. I don't understand why Tohmon decided to tell everybody and even show the clips (!!) to everyone. This is so bad. It's Tawan's story to tell or not tell.

This drama could've been called: Pride and Prejudice, Wickham's story. Joe is evidently Wickham, Gift is Lydia…
I also don't understand why Toom had to die. She had so much potential (as a character) and I was always waiting for her to turn full blown evil, or to actually bring Joe down. Alas the writer went another, boring way.
Also, I don't buy that Joe ever loved Dee. It seemed to me he was just a narcisstic person who couldn't accept that a woman would forget about him so easily.

This drama could've been called: Pride and Prejudice, Wickham's story. Joe is evidently Wickham, Gift is Lydia and Toom is Georgianna, of course. They even went as far as to make Joe's dad a General, that's how "smooth" those writers are!
It was an okay watch, but at around episode 8, I was like "Is anything gonna happen in this drama?". I thought this has the most likeable, most boring set of leads I've come to see in all of my drama watching years. They are positively perfect, and bland.
The second male lead (I guess that's what he is) is actually the driving force of the story, since everything happens because of him. At first I thought he was well casted, because I find the actor very attractive in an unctuous way; he looks like a total con man. Unfortunately, his acting wasn't very good, because when he was supposed to look detached and callous, he came off as psychopath serial killer, with his enormous eyes hahaha. I actually could see him in thriller, he definitely could pull of the suspicious, potentially murderous vibe to a T.
I do see value in this drama, IF skinship and sweet scenes are not necessary to you, and IF you concentrate more on the secondary characters than the main couple. This drama biggest quality is actually making me appreciate the traditional Slap/Kiss, makjang type lakorn.

LOL I gues beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. I've seen him in Mia Archeep, he was rather clean cut in there, yet I didn't find him attractive. I wonder if he is mixed race or full european though..

It seems to me that the writer/director has a strange love-hate relationship towards both transgender and fat people, especially the latter. It was good to see bigger people on screen, but it's just strange that they would always be bullied by the good guys. For example I almost jumped off my seat anytime Bong, that absolute sweety would fat shame that cute little kid. I didn't mind when Plaifon did it, but for Bong to do it didn't make much sense. Also the transgenders are described as ridiculous gropers, at best...

Preface: I used to not understand why people would get mad when a show is overrated on MDL. I guess today is the day I have an epiphany. This show is rated at 8.4, meaning it is supposedly as good as: Love me if you dare, Misty, The beauty Inside and City Hunter; and better than: Liar Game and Secret.

What an overrated drama! Did I watch the same thing as everyone? To me the acting was often cringey (the sister is the worst), the story stagnant, redundant and overly complicated (at the same time childishly simple). The space was very poorly used, you could see that because of the pandemic they didn't want to employ too many extras. Great decision, but then they should have chosen less grandiose spaces that easily feel empty (their office building was ridiculously huge and I wonder how they dealt with the acoustic in a glass and metal tall empty space btw). Certain scenes were laughable because of the emptinesss (the yoga session where the FL and the 2nd FL are almost in a different room from the extras. I mean, it could've been done better.
At the end I was just watching out of stubbornness. I did rate it a 6 out of 10, because of the originality of the FL but I wonder if I'm not too generous.
I understand that rating is highly subjective and I don't wish to offend anybody, just needed to express my surprise.
