Unpopular opinion: this show is a bit disappointing to be honest. I hope next week will give us a good closure with a lot of romance (awake romance this time please, no more dreams!). It's frustrating because I feel like they've wasted so much time on unnecessary characters like Hong Inna, the journalist lady, the people at the signing center... They should've used this time to tighten up the plot. Example: I really would've appreciated a scene where Sa Eon buy Hee Joo a New unhacked car. Anyway, let's wait for the end for closure.
Unpopular opinion ahead: I didn’t like this episode, and the emotions didn’t hit me because of the glaring…
I wholeheartedly agree. From episode 1 I was trying to not get too hyped up because I've been burned before. But I couldn't help getting my expectations up. Now for a few episodes now I've been struggling with that plotline. Today's episode lost me. People's motivations don't make all that much sense, they also have not been acting up to how smart they're supposed to be. On the romance side, a dream is a good way to inject a bit of romance in a high thrill episode, but they've used this device, it's getting boring. In Ha is frankly a useless character, same with 2FL. They could've used their screen time to tighten up the actual plot lines. So yeah, I'm with you.
> But he wasn't ABUSIVE ABUSIVE!I mean, he raped her though. That's in part why she cheated, she was looking for…
I see what you mean, I think both options are viable. I personally liked the way the show ended, it says a lot about the love one can have for a non biological child, it's also about redemption and second chances on some level.
" I think at this point it's the writer's psychology and fetish which is prevalent in Japanese series involving wife's infidelity that gets a win." Probably because I have not watched enough Jdramas, I don't notice this prevalence. Maybe also why I don't understand everybody's reaction on some level.
> But he wasn't ABUSIVE ABUSIVE!I mean, he raped her though. That's in part why she cheated, she was looking for…
First off, when somebody dies from suicide, it's not because they were weak. People rarely end their life because of one thing that went wrong, it's often an accumulation of things. Remember how he was already looking up mental help very early in the show? He was already showing signs of a mental breakdown. Finding out about her lies could've indeed been the tipping point, thankfully he didn't do it. For the wife's cheating, after going through months of bad treatment, then that rape, she definitely has mitigating circumstances to her action of cheating. Does that mean I'm justifying her actions, maybe, frankly I don't know. As for passing the kid as her husband's, this was definitely wrong, I agree with you. Still, she made that decision based on many factors, like the fact that her husband did tell her he was not going to get involved with the kid other than giving her money, which frankly was the only thing she wanted from him at that point. From her pov she is in a major fix, and here comes this cold and mean husband (again, her pov) offering her a solution. She has remorse from the start, and she feels even worse when her husband starts to change. I'm not saying I agree with her actions, I'm just trying to understand the character's motivations, and frankly, they make sense. Would I advise my friend to do the same? Absolutely NOT. Would I stop being her friend if she did do this? Also no, I think. I'd judge her at first, but then I'd try and understand. That said, I also can see things from the husband's pov too. I could spend hours writing about his redemption arch. The thing is, I don't need to because everyone seems to understand him already.
The tag "Single Male Lead" is correct as he is single in the series.
I didn't say MDL is a joke. Even if I had, I took the time to elaborate my first comment about the misuse of tags in CERTAIN drama pages. You obviously disagree, that's alright. But I honestly don't even know what more you want me to tell you. Take care.
Ok, I'm done drinking this and I'm still standing. Yay!! That's pretty much the only positive thing I can find to write about this drama. I regret that I didn't listen to the Jdorama officianados who were warning about the huge elephant in the room, and I went into it innocently thinking this would be the one to subvert the trope. Yeah, nope! Also, the 2nd ML is very handsome, but his acting was very weird, I don't know if it was direction choice or poor acting. I can't wait to to forget about this drama LOL. 6,5/10.
haha nice joke first talk about story not acting production music thats not audeince want ...only wants moral…
I will not read all of your comment because I tried but it's too long and has no punctuation. So to make it short and easy: right back at you, pal. Right back at you. ^^
I'm glad she ended up with Hiroki, in part just cause I hated Fuyutsuki so much, lol. I like Snowman, but Tatsuya…
I personally think this is a more frequent situation than we might imagine. I used to live in a country where the husband's family would set up the wife to sleep with a husband's brother or cousin (so that the kids would look like him), without the husband's knowledge or consent (or was it really?). But even in more general terms. We already know that wives can raise their husband's children from affairs. It would make sense that some husbands can do the same, turning a blind eye, rather than lose everything.
> But he wasn't ABUSIVE ABUSIVE!I mean, he raped her though. That's in part why she cheated, she was looking for…
I don't think people are uncomfortable with the marital rape, I think they are TOO comfortable with it. They explain it away very easily ( he lost his mind a bit). But She you see, she's the bad one because she should've gone to the police or shut her mouth and taken it forever I guess.
What I find interesting is that the same people who will understand the ML acting up because of something he saw in the afternoon, turn and blame the FL for not keeping it together right after being raped. There's a word for it, but I can't remember what it is in english cause I'm an ESL...
I don't know what's happening to this comment section. I just wish people would understand that not every drama caters to them. I mean, the synopsis is pretty upfront about the cheating, if you can't watch it, stir clear. How can you get into this type of drama and then clutch your pearls because ooh cheatingggg. And then start waxxing poetry about your high moral standard, like anybody cares. Call me a cheater all day if you want, still I loved this drama.
This is about a fledgling marriage, with a mean husband and a woman who decides to be with someone who is gentle. They have one night with a big consequence. The consequence will change their marriage. There is also a little element that I won't spoil but explains the choices the FL makes (though doesn't excuse them). The acting and production value are really good, if you like dramas with more mature themes, this one might be for you.
Storylines of Cheating films that make it not good to watch.1. Filmmakers always portray Cheating wife as a victim…
1. Filmmakers always portray Cheating wife as a victim but actually they're not. Just before she cheats, her husband does attack her. He also clearly tells the coffee shop guy that he knows he's been mistreating her as a way to vent his anger (although not physically, he only went physical that one time).
2.They portray cheated husbands as a villain. They show him cry, he confesses all his inadequacies to the coffee shop guy, he's scared of also hurting the baby. Then he can't help but fall in love with the baby and puts his family first. As for her, she clearly says multiple times "I'm bad".
4. Most storylines of cheating wives always ends in a happy ending and the husband suffers in the end. Oooh you didn't watch the show. OK, I'll just stop here. Take care.
Overall, it was not bad, it's a good adaptation. However, my favourite will always be the Japanese drama. It's…
been a long time since I saw you comment. nice to hear from you. I also really dislike makeovers, except in some very specific cases (marry my husband has a very good makeover IMO, very plot driven too). I also don't understand Asians aversion for curls, I find it very pretty.
the tags on MDL are becoming a joke. "Single Male lead'? Aren't 95% of all ML single anyway? I would understand "married Male lead" because it's a bit more rare. Let's not forget that tags are here to help people find a trope they're looking for. I don't think anyone is desperately looking for single male leads in dramas, are they? While I'm at it, let me also point out the dramas that are named "love of oncologists" and the tags are as follow: oncologist ML, oncologist FL, oncologist support character, oncologist dept setting.
I'm sorry to be ranting here but I don't understand some of these tags.
The ML is not insanely obsessed, it's just that they had some connections in the past, like a childhood classmate,…
oh ok thanks. Does he do something weird to have her (like manipulate her or other people)? Please don't worry to spoil me hehe I'm SO curious but the drama is so long, I don't think I can sit through it all right now
Anyway, let's wait for the end for closure.

waiting for episode 12 to deliver the fatal dose.
