I don't know if I'm the only one who resent this new trend of kdramas having multiple seasons. Among the many things that I appreciated from the beginning about kdramas, was that you always knew what you were getting into (episodes count) and the writers were focusing on a single season, and doing their best to tie it all up in one arc. It was so refreshing. I hope we don't lose this.

I'm shocked. I've watched half of this show and didn't recognize her! I guess that's what you call disappearing in one's role!!!

The ending was a bit contrived in my opinion. It was maybe too realistic I guess? Because IRL, the bad guys would win. Only divine intervention could bring these people to justice.
In the end, I thought it was very poetic how almost everyone had a hand in the poor girl dying. The two people who suffered the most (ML and FL) were also the most innocent of the bunch. Which, once again, pretty realistic.

This a kdrama with a strong lakorn flavor to it. The FL is very Pollyanna-like in the beginning and she's being rained on with all the unfortune one can imagine. Then there's the revenge plot of the victim's fiance, etc... But in the midst of all that melodrama, you have great writing and extraordinary actors. Kudos to Ji Sung who brings enough vulnerability to his character to not make you hate him and to Hwang Jung Eum who toned down the shouting and makes you root for her. Yes she's too nice for her own good, but she's definitely not stupid. Once she understands that her unfortune is not just due to poor luck, she fights back.
I had a hard time finishing the drama because it is so heartbreaking, I would'nt necessarily recommend this, even though it IS a classic. I gave it a 8/10.
As for the ending...

My God! Gong Yoo Oppa has grown so much since the Coffee Prince days. I'm so here for it ^^

I love this actress. When will she be main in a worthwhile drama? I want to watch this one, just to gaze at her face but the ratings are so low... :(

Very pretty drama. Love the fashion. Some surprising real kisses. The acting and writing is not the best but nothing too bad. I wasn't too happy about a shoehorned gay romance though but it's fine, the boys are cute too.

The production is not very high quality but the actors are good and they make do. Unfortunately the writers really went on a bender with the miscommunication, and other stupid obstacles, it makes for an annoying FL and even more annoying show. I only stayed for the husband, the only redeeming thing. I am a sucker for pining husband. I gave it 6,5/10.

I've not watched this drama but about the second lead actor. He truly is a scene stealer. He usually has that appeal on me in anything I watch him. Unfortunately he can't seem to lead any decent drama 😕

This is also one of my favorite tropes and I'm just sad that I don't enjoy it more 😢 I'll just have to pass this one and wait for the next series they make 😉
