Why does it feel like I'm on a train that I know is going to derail? But I can't get off the train.

Rating of dramas on this site is fake and controlled by admins! If they like a drama, they raise its rating, and…
If you look at the bar graph where the rating is broken down by age, you can always see the fake. MDL has a habit of beautifying statistics up and down.

I really like it so far. Dark and heavy elements and fun comedy can be combined well. (I think this is unique to Kdrama) The characters are smart, independent and complex. Drunkenness is a bit much for me, but here they are, their past and their surroundings are at least reason enough (not for FL to get into ML's bed.) I'm really looking forward to the continuation of the story.

This was a decent movie, but I'm a tad bit sad about how little time Gong Jun and Neo Hou had😭
Gong Junnak ,Neo Hounak , Chen Jing Ke : they were only needed to increase the number of viewers

The special episode was stinking cute. Even without a kiss. The main leads are known for their good kiss scenes.…
There is no kiss in the original novel either.

Did Simon’s mom put a clause on his contract that he couldn’t have kisses in this drama as Leo’s mom did…
There is no kiss in the original novel either.

Not lips kiss. I woke up this morning thinking about the ending of this drama, no kisses except one on the forehead…
There is no kiss in the original novel either.

I think Anle/DZY achievements are spread across the entire drama, with HY we get the odd moment of acknowledgment…
In the novel, under the pressure of the ministers, DY holds a wedding. For his younger brother and his love, but HY mistakenly receives information that DZ is getting married. (More precisely, they don't say who the noble couple will be) DZ wants HY to come back, because the throne is empty after the king's death.

I think Anle/DZY achievements are spread across the entire drama, with HY we get the odd moment of acknowledgment…
The disappearance of HY is incomprehensible without the political background story. (Only blindness is a weak enough reason)
A serious increase in the political influence of the Di family, the position of FL (regent) was completely omitted.
Both HY and DZ put their people and the stability of the empire first, personal feelings do not have that much weight.
If HY takes DI as his wife, she will lose his political power and only end up in the harem. The Han family, lined up behind HY's underage half-brother, is willing to stand behind DZ because he is not asking for the throne. And the anti-Han rebel clans accept the DZ. DZ stabilizes the country in 3 years. HY is brought back by DZ for the throne, not personal feelings.
The essence of the novel is completely missing from the movie

I think Anle/DZY achievements are spread across the entire drama, with HY we get the odd moment of acknowledgment…
1. HY wants to marry DZ because even his father cannot annul his great-grandfather's marriage contract.
2. HY promised DZ's grandmother, who was his master, to take care of his granddaughter.
(That's why it was irrelevant that he fell in love with RenAnle)
3. As the last and only noble member of the DZ clan, he is obliged to give birth to the Di clan, so he cannot give birth to an heir to the throne, because it will be Han.
(That's why it was irrelevant that he fell in love with HY)

The key to the situation is that her younger brother is alive, because then he can inherit the title of leader of the Di clan. His descendants will be members of the Di clan. So HY is aware of this, but DZ is kept in the dark until HY is gone. (In the film, it is only mentioned that she wants to go home, so she seems heartless, and it is portrayed as if HY's disappearance awakens her to the importance of love.)
So the adaptation doesn't do justice to Di's character, and this fake wedding only makes it worse. And he puts HY in the role of a victim, even though he wasn't, since he had to trick his own father in order to keep his promise in the first two points.

On The Legend of Anle Aug 5, 2023
It was not possible to convey the essence of the novel, the protagonists became obstinate for their own purposes and unnecessarily hurt and manipulate each other. The story is flat and dull. They don't do justice to the protagonists, they only add effects-seeking elements, which completely distorts the original novel.

Ooohh. I would have liked to see this. Thanks for sharing.
The other big saying: The person of the ruler cannot be as important as the country. The country cannot be more important than the people.

There is no kiss in the novel (exact adaptation)
Of course there can be change. The flower wasn't in the novel either, they solve Han Y's recovery in a completely different way, compared to the novel it's a Gordian knot.

On The Legend of Anle Aug 4, 2023
In the novel, Anle was not so forgiving of the emperor. Iconic sentences are missing from the conversation between the two.
" - My father always lost to you in the game of go - I always thought he was a bad player
I realized how difficult it is to play when you are always 2 steps behind"
(Anle beats the king in a game of go)
I am not my father"
