This is a story of star crossed lovers...very Romeo and Juliet. I'm probably one of the few people that loved the artsy way this was directed. I love the cinematography as well as the setting. Again I wish I could post spoilers, because I have a lot to say and no one to say it to. I really think I should start a blog...if only to get my thoughts out of my head. Anyway, there isn't so much politics in this historical drama to make it boring. There is plenty of sword play and action. I don't get why this drama gets such low ratings.

I am a huge fan of Uhm Tae Woong. He played a great character that suffers the most, but stays true to himself. The way he portrays the emotions of the character feels real to me...like he immersed himself. Kim Ok Bin as the Princess was okay. I didn't feel as deeply for her character as I should. I'm not sure if it is the acting or the writing...maybe a little of both. No Min Woo plays the crazy Yeon Nam Saeng with panache. He may enter the drama late (episode 11), but he steals every scene he is in. The rest of the actors are good too.

I enjoyed the music.

I won't rewatch this.

If you like historical sad love stories, then you should watch this.

Although there were some holes in the story, I liked the approach this writer had to time travel and alternate universes. One of my favorite topics is the theory of multi-universes or parallel universes. I could see where this writer was trying to go, but some of the story wasn't laid out properly or totally thought out. OMG...I wish I could post spoilers, because there are a few things that totally bother me. If you want to know what they are then message me and I will tell you. The biggest theme regarding time travel that I have seen is related to what will happen to your future if you change the past. Not all physicists really believe that parallel universes exist. Even fewer physicists believe that it would ever be possible to contact these parallel universes. But what if they did and what if you could??? Where would you go and what would you do??? What if what you changed didn't matter at all and we will all meet the same fate no matter what choice is made??? The holes in the story are all due to the fact that the writer doesn't know the answers either. I seriously probably ranked this drama too high because I love the subject and it was thought provoking to me.

Um...I thought that Gackt was a better actor? That is all I'm going to say.

The music was fine.

I will never rewatch this.

I only really recommend this as a thought provoking tool.

FTLY is a rollar coaster of emotion. The story has some totally cute to extremely sad moments. Although it begins in a rather odd way, the rest of the story is typical with one twist that is traumitizing to the main characters. I don't know if I would call this a romantic comedy although there is plenty of both. I think it is more of an intense love story. The writing of the main male lead is frustrating to me, but his enteraction with the female lead is always charismatic even when he is being a total jerk. I have never seen the original, but I like this version.

What makes this drama worth watching is the acting and character development. Jang Na Ra is so adorable as Kim Mi Young. I like how her character blossoms under the guidence of both male leads. Although she becomes more confident, she doesn't lose that air of naivity and kindness. What can I say about Jang Hyuk? He can act any role he is given. Lee Gun is a strangely over the top, down to earth character. He takes life as it comes and deals with his emotions in peculiar way. I like that he is Mi Young's advocate from beginning to end (even when he is mad). That laugh is just too great. Choi Jin Hyuk's character, Daniel must be a glutton for punishment. He loved unconditionaly with almost no hope of it being returned in the way he wanted.

The music is great.

I might rewatch this some day.

If you like love stories, then this is a good drama to watch.

WOW....The last few episodes were excruciatingly painful. At some point this drama became monotonous. At first I thought that the story was fresh and exciting. The "good guy" was smart and seemed to have the "bad guys" on the run. Then the same scenario happened over and over. I can't write spoilers so I can't go into it, but be prepared to watch the same thing happen numerous times. The character Dong Ha was just annoying after a while. How can the "bad guy" really not understand why the "good guy" wants revenge??? Are you kidding me??? His character was certifiably crazy. I was sick of the sound of his voice. If that is what the writer wanted, then mission successful. It was really hard for me to rate this drama, because I liked some of it. I think that it should have been less episodes and it would have been better. Plus, the ending was semi-satisfying. OH...and there isn't much of a love story. So, if you are looking for that, then you aren't going to find it here.

On the upside, the acting was really good. I HATED Seo Dong Ha played by Jung Bo Suk which is definitely the emotion that he is supposed to elicit. So good for him. Kim Gyu Chul as Park Hee Seo was also good. He is really good at playing the part of someone that you love to hate.

I loved Han Eun Jeong as Hong So Ra. Her character was a breath of fresh air to the drama. I also think that Lee Si Young as the conflicted Seo Yi Re was good. Her character was on the line the entire drama. Uhm Ki Joon was excellent as the mentally unstable Micheal. Were all the characters in the drama mentally unstable???

Last but not least is Kim Kang Woo as Kang Do Yoon. The actor had to process a gamut of emotions and he did it exceptionally well. I love the sound of his voice and his manner of speaking. He has a way of pulling the emotions out of me. I think he is a great actor.

The music was ok.

I won't ever rewatch this.

As far as revenge/melo dramas go, it isn't the best. I don't necessarily recommend it, but it isn't the worst I have seen.

Where do I start?
This drama has it all. It has romance, comedy, psychological and physical terror, politics, family, and action to name just a few. The strength of the characters in this drama is what holds this story together. The writers did a fantastic job of keeping the characters consistent. There is not one time that the action and conversations are out of character. The story was well thought out. The writers may have worked from the end backwards, because it was carefully planned.

The range of emotions that one goes through watching this drama is what makes it excellent and that is a tribute to the actors. The main cast of Ha Ji Won, Lee Seung Ki, Lee Yoon Ji, and Jo Jung Suk is epic. I don’t think anyone will ever find a cast that will be able to compete with this one. The actors are right on the money and made me invested in the individuals they play and the story. The actors that played all the side characters were magnificent. I have never disliked a villain as much as Kim Bong Goo and I think that is because Yoon Je Moon plays him so well. He should get some kind of an award for playing the best criminal in a drama. I would also like to give a shout out to Lee Do Kyeong (Hang Ah’s father) and Yoon Yeo Jeong (Jae Ha’s mother). If it weren’t for them, then the whole story would be different.

There will probably be some people that dislike this drama because of one incident. Even though it was an emotional event, I believe it made this drama even better. The acting that was involved in that event sent this drama over the top.

The music in this drama is good too; especially the scenes where the Jae Sin and Si Kyung sing.

I really do believe that this may be one of the best dramas that I have ever seen. I would rewatch it in a heartbeat.

LITM is a drama that has been done so many times. The story is unoriginal and a little boring. At first I felt it was okay with the cute bromance and romance, but then politics take over and blah. Oh and I forgot to mention I am not a fan of gender/bender roles. There were a few emotional moments that I felt the characters were developed well. Actually, the only reason why I finished this drama is because of the acting.

Kim Yoo Jung is a beautiful person. Her soul just shines through her eyes. The problem is no one in a million years would believe that Hong Ra On is a boy. Just no way. I thought Park Bo Gum was highly overrated as an actor, but he was good in this. All and I mean all of the other actors are good too.

The music is fine.

I will never rewatch this.

If you like gender/bender seaguk, then watch sungkyunkwan scandal. It is a much better drama.

This is a decent drama. It was a little drawn out and could have been done in less episodes. Also, some of the sounds used started to get on my nerves. I know people think it's cute, but I don't. There are some really nice romantic moments and the family dynamic is sweet. There are a lot of useless characters. Some of the dialog is excellent and then there are times when it made me want to tell them to shut up. There are plenty of Korean cliches including the annoying "selflessness". It does convey a lot of different emotions through out which to me is appropriate. I like how the writer is trying to convey the message to live life to its fullest. Overall, it is just like the rating I gave, a mediocre drama.

Lee Yoo Ri is now one of my favorite actresses. She is perfect as Mi Rae playing both silly and a person in pain. Lee Dong Gun is cute and manly as Han Yeol. Lee Re is also adorable as Se Rang. They had good chemistry together as a family.

Most of the music is good.

I won't ever rewatch this.

I recommend this drama, but don't expect anything outstanding.

Fantastic was surprising for me. It made a person feel hopeful even as each character was going through hard times. I felt like it was a character driven story. I like the women's camaraderie and how they support each other. The writer made me happy by writing the men as faithful and loving men who stuck by the women they love through everything. The writer also gave meaning to the different close relationships and show love comes in a variety of ways. I also like that the jerks get mostly what they deserve. I think there were times when ithe story was a little over the top and the characters were too self sacrificing. Over all though the story is well written and paced. I

I always remember Kim Hyun Joo as BOF's Joon Pyo's noona. I haven't watched any of her drama's since then. I thought she was great as Lee So Hye because that is a hard part to play. The strength, vulnerabiity, and the emotions that the she had to put into playing the character must have been draining. Joo Sang Wook is a hit or a miss for me. This time he was mostly a hit as Ryu Hae Seong. I'm a total Park Shi Yeon fan. She is so versatile. I have hated her in a drama and I loved her as Baek Sul. She is just trying to find her way to happiness. Ji Soo was just to adorable and totally strong man as Kim Sang Wook. I have seen Kim Tae Hoon in a lot of dramas and I think that even though he isn't the male lead, he plays Dr. Hong Joon Ki like he is the male lead and I enjoyed every minute of it. The other actors are good too.

The music is ok.

I will never rewatch this.

Warning: It is about cancer patients. My mom passed from cancer, but I was ok watching this. However, it could be hard for people to watch.

I liked this drama, but I don't necessarily recommend it.

Excellent!!! I'm not into sports or romcom dramas, but this is so much deeper than that. There are some annoying characters and some pointless story lines, but it doesn't matter. The main love story is really deep and interesting. Then there is the bromances that are just too sweet. I normally don't like secondary stories, but I enjoyed learning the story behind the characters. The writer did a good job with tying each story together with out breaking the flow of the main story line.

I get the love people have for Kimura now. I was totally pulled into his character Halu...maybe. I think I should watch more of his dramas. Takeuchi Yuko is pretty and has a nice smile. She has this quiet, simple way of bringing Aki to life. The other actors are good too.

The music is excellent. I love Queen.

I will probably rewatch this at some point.

I recommend this drama no matter what genre you prefer.

What a beautiful, emotionally compelling movie. I loved every minute of it. It is easy to reminisce about my own youth while watching these awesome actresses. Their story of the happiness and pain of youth experienced through loyalty and sisterly love is one for all ages. I'm sure everyone can relate.

All of the acting was good from the adult female lead Yoo Ho Jeong as Na Mi to the funny little lawyer that has a great time at the end.

The music is really good.

I would rewatch this in a heartbeat.

I recommend that everyone watch this.

Daebak!!! I just finished this drama and it was amazing. The story is suspenseful and consistent. I admit that I was stalled at episode 2 for a while, but once I got through episode 3, I was hooked. It has a beautiful romance and some crazy conspiracy theories. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if an organization like IRIS actually existed. War is money and power...there is always someone that wants it enough to destroy lives and countries to obtain it. I know a lot of people hated the end, but I saw that coming by episode 5.

The acting is phenomenal. Lee Byung Hun has just moved up in my rankings an actor. His ability to make his character Kim Hyun Jun come alive is exceptional. Not to mention that he is HOT!!! That smile is beautiful. Kim So Yeon as Kim Sun Hwa is my favorite character out of this drama. I am now planning to watch everything that she has been in. She played that character to perfection. I enjoyed Kim Tae Hee, Jung Joon Ho, and Kim Seung Woo also. I had no idea that Kim Seung Woo could be so charismatic. I watch him on the Korean variety show 1N2D where he is funny. It was nice to see him act. Last but certainly not least...TOP...although he didn't say much, who cares. He was totally HOT in this drama. Why do I always like the bad guys? LOL

The music is ok.

I would rewatch this at some point.

If you like action, suspense and romance, then this is the drama to watch. Now on to IRIS 2...I hope it will be as good!!!

I will preface this review with a statement. I don't like medical dramas. I watched this only because of the actors. This drama is boring. Plus, I think the writers changed and you could tell. The writer failed the possibilities.

I like most of the actors in this drama. Joo Ji Hoon as Chief Han was excellent. I was with him emotionally from beginning to end. Jung Ryeon Won is also great as the feminine, but strong Dr. Seo. Her character could have been better developed, but she had great chemistry with Ji Hoon. The kiss was HOT!!! It would have been good if that relationship had been better developed also. Kwon Sang Woo was totally adorable as the sensitive and principled Dr. Park. Oh Yeon Seo was too cute as Dr. Choi. I really enjoyed her character. Kim Young Ae is an excellent veteran actress. I wish I could post spoilers, because I had a great story line for her character and Dr. Park.

The music is nothing special.

I won't rewatch this.

If you like medical dramas, then you would probably like this more than me. I don't necessarily recommend it, but it isn't horrible.

I have to say that this drama hooked me. The reason I gave it a 9 overall instead of a 10 is that the story was frustrating at times and I was disappointed in the easy ending for the crazy people. I think it is misleading to believe that this drama is about the war between Qi and Zhou states. It is a love story. I'm not a fan of historical dramas, but I'm so glad I watched this. Besides my frustration during episodes 21-26, I enjoyed the roller coaster of crazy that came after. The set and costumes as well as directing is excellent.

I know this drama is about Lan Ling, but I fell in love with Chan Daniel's character Yu Wen Young. He was the most consistent character. I enjoyed every minute that he was on screen. Feng William portrayed Lan Ling Wang with the perfect blend of dignity and warmth. I admit that sometimes I found his character frustrating, but it had nothing to do with the acting. His character was supposed to be loyal to Qi state and the people and he was until the end. Ariel Lin is a very interesting actress. I don't think many actresses could pull off the quirky character of Yang Xue Wu as well as she did.. Mao Lin Lin as Zheng Er was amazingly freaky. Her smile gave me the shivers. I was frustrated and enjoyed her madness at the same time. All of the other actors were good also.

The music is nice.

I might rewatch the first 20 episodes one day.

If you enjoy historical dramas with a love story, then I think that you would enjoy this.

I will preface this by stating that rom/com is not my favorite genre. I began watching this because I like Kim Kang Woo. It took me forever to watch it until I got to episode 12. It goes pretty fast from there.

The plot for this drama isn't original, but it is still good. I swear they used every Korean drama trope that has been invented. There is long lost family members, amnesia, hateful exes (or in this case they are still actually married for a while), hateful and loving parents all based around three different sides trying to gain a hotel in Haeundae. The one real complaint that I have is that the ending did not provide enough story between the leads. I get they felt the need to wrap up all the extra characters story lines, but it is still annoying.

The acting is pretty good. It isn't the best I have ever seen and there are a lot of insignificant characters. The one character that I enjoyed the most is Go Joong Shik played by Im Ha Ryong. He is so adorable and brings the entire story together. Kim Kang Woo's speaking pattern in this drama is what drew me in. He was excellent. I have never seen Jo Yeo Jung in anything, but she is cute and funny while being strong enough to take care of her family in her role as Go So Ra. Jung Suk Won plays the second male lead of Choi Joon Hyuk. When are they going to stop putting him in supporting roles and make him the lead so that he can get the girl? I'm ready for it drama world!!!

The music is ok.

I probably won't rewatch it, but I don't regret the time I spent watching this drama.

Overall I would say that if rom/com is your favorite genre, then you should watch this drama. It is cute and funny.

I am about to watch Vampire Prosecutor 2 and I realized that I never wrote a review for the first one. I love anything Vampire so this was something that I was thrilled to watch.

There is a mystery that centers around the main character, Tae Yeon, but each episode also has it's own mystery and resolution. It is kind of like CSI (US tv series) only there is a vampire that can figure things out then they use the science to prove it.

I had never seen Yun Jung Hoon in anything before this drama, so I wasn't sure what to expect from him. He is intense. He has a way of drawing you into the character that I find extremely appealing. To say nothing of the fact that he is totally hot in this drama. Lee Won Jong is also in this drama. He is a really good underrated actor. He must be a workaholic because although he doesn't have a lot of main character rolls. He is in a lot of dramas. He does like 4 dramas a year. Crazy!!! All of the other actors do a really good job too.

The music is fitting for the drama.

I didn't have to rewatch anything from this drama before starting the second season, because I remember it well. It is the kind of drama that sticks with you. I recommend that everyone that likes mystery type dramas give it a try and then move on to the second season. You won't regret it.
