This is the first Chinese drama serie that I've watched I have watched movies but not dramas. At first I thought the princes where too many to catch up with, surprisingly by the fifth ep I knew each one of them. Before we continue I would like to ask. Have you ever steamed someone or have you ever seen someone who was steamed to death. Yes I know what your thinking but I do mean it, steamed!!!!!! Well this was the first and i am still in shock. I thought Josean politics was tough. No no no ancient Chinese politics Is misery and suffering its self. Judging from this drama anyway. It was great the romance wasn't fake. The kisses were real. do you know the last time a Korean drama made me cry this much,ahhhh? never. but this drama my god... i couldn't stop. if you hate death sadness which i kind of do, don't watch,however if you also love laughter which in this one was mainly caused by the prince/king and his man savant, jealousy,romance and fantasy. this is it, this guy Kim Soo Hyun acted the king and i almost forgot i was watching a drama. the way he talked even when he cried you could forget he was acting, seriously how did they know he would be perfect for this role

When I read the plot, I asked what the hell would be interesting about a Joseon prince in the present era? Little did I know that the prince had the best collection of subjects he could have picked as he landed on the roof top. My god who ever chose the cast was talented they fit perfectly into their characters, yoon chuns acting is so great that when someone speaks korean I can now differentiate the phrasing of the traditional Joseon korean language from the present one, yeah he is that good!! This drama had it all fantasy,melodrama,Joseon period, day today, mystery etc but wat was really amazing was the fact that I couldn't figure out what really happened till the last episode, no drama has suprised me like this one. It was great from the first scene... Overall SUPERB!!!!

This drama has changed my Mind in regards to historical dramas, there was no slow episode . No problem stayed there lingering for a long time, they where all solved fast. Making it exciting. They could have made more episodes. The theme song was well chosen. I almost forgot that it was lee min from boys over flowers. He was superb in this one.however SPOILER kind of! I don't know why they keep on giving inconclusive endings I hate them.they were no clichés. Overall it was superb. but after watching it again i have realised the repetitiveness off problems they should have worked on that and a more satisfying ending

having not watched the older version, not that i didnt try watching it but the graphics where too horrible so i skipped to this one, so for me, this is it, at first this drama was rainbows and unicorns a lot of laughing and the villain wasnt that evil yet, i even overlooked the cheesiness between Er kang and Zi wei that gave me goosebumps seriously blaaaah, but i still love that the whole drama wasnt centered around the love interests of one person ,it kept me entertained so much so that by the second i was like what? how did i get through half of it, and remember it is 98 EPS!! yeah still cant believe i finished it without dropping it for few days to think of a new reason to watch it again, however one thing i know XYZ didnt belong in the palace boy was she clumsy and staff, i loved it because i cant really criticize it since its a comedy .....well most of it, before it got serious on me, but XYZ still managed to make me laugh therefore i loved because it was funny and i would totally re-watch the first 93 episodes

In comparison to "your beautiful " I don't know which is better, because the story might have been the same but most things happened differently. And this one brought out rens OCD quite well. Problem was they tried to mimick the behaviour and reaction of the characters in the korean version e.g you know that thing that park shin hye does with her mouth but apart from that it was fantastic. The leader wasn't soo mean but also not so nice. In this one the main character was more passionate.... I don't know how else to put it okay the characters were well balanced however because we first watched the Korean Version and we love geun suk we will always say the first one was better. But I can't decide overall it was superb
