You aren't wrong. Interestingly enough though, the SFL in this case has received a lot of sympathy for a change. Like her character seems to be whitewashed.

Don't get me wrong, I like how the actress portrays her and she has her good moments but her choices to date don't really make her a victim of the ML or the SML the way some make it out to be.
I mean if the FL's morally grey choices are criticised, the SFL's choices shouldn't be ignored either (specially since unlike with the FL, the SFL isn't pushed into a corner)😅

Biggest hypocrite of 2025 honestly. If she wanted to support her pretentious husband/ in laws, she should have just used her own funds.

Honestly even the fact that she visited JH while he was sick can be explained based on what they showed in ep 1. Da Rim cannot ignore those in need. Even when she was late for her lecture, she took the time to silently help somebody pick up her stuff. She even took time to help a visually impaired stranger cross the road. Even while arguing with JH for insulting her in ep 1, she still paused mid argument to help a mother pick her fruit. The main reason how SU and DR became best friends was because she protected him from bullies as a kid.

If this is how Da Rim is with strangers, obviously she is going to feel grateful and indebted to JH for getting sick because of her. Should she have been more cautious? Yes. But the worst you can accuse her of is not reading the situation. There’s no need of demonizing her for it. She didn’t go there to seduce him. She really did have innocent intentions.😅

Sadly it wouldn’t be a kdrama without somebody beating you to the punchline 🙈

On the bright side this debate will finally be over next week since Da Rim will have to explain herself. JH has been low key breaking the fourth wall by even mentioning how Da Rim is way too accident prone so perhaps they’ll make him ask the question we’ve all be discussing?🙊

Exactly. Honestly the real villain of the story is life (as well as the pretentious brother in law and irresponsible sister).

Both are in impossible circumstances. If JH didn’t have to adhere to his contract, he would have left the company and if Da Rim’s family matters weren’t so dire, she would have quit when he initially asked her to (even if her future employment prospects were bleak).

As a fellow leftie who was conditioned to eat with her right hand, this movie was rather relatable- specially the grandfather’s horrified gasps every time he caught I Jung eating with her left hand.🙈

Watching life through I-Jung’s eyes adds an innocent touch to the gritty life her family had to live. It’s easy to judge them when you are behind the screen but this is reality for others. I personally loved how they seamlessly raised topics such as patriarchy and how women are treated even by their own family but how even in the darkest of places you can still find joy if you break free from the chains made by society..

I'd really like to know why Shion was targeted. Ichimatzu doesn't seem to know about Osuke's connection either afterall. Unless in the future Shion and Ichi work together. Exactly. He directly asked her to quit because he didn't want to work with somebody manipulative/ deceitful which under normal circumstances is understandable.

He already confirmed that he searched for her everywhere because he was worried. It wasn't only to rekindle their Jeju moment but also to help her if she was in serious trouble (he caught glimpses of her looking extremely worried when she dashed out of the hotel / at the airport).

You'd have to extremely dramatic to jet off just because you chickened out off an intimate moment (specially when you have no money to be that extravagant)🙈
