Did you hear about the misintepretation contravery? :)It's not difficult to test it on your own if you don't believe…
"Trillion Game" seems to be cursed since even i'm too lazy to continue. It was fun too so I have no idea what's stopping me π π π
"Spy X Family" - the order is S1, S2, and then the movie. Or else it might not make sense at times π
(But you can watch it as a stand alone movie too since they briefly explain what's going on but you can enjoy it more if you watch the episodes first).....i might be biased ππ
"Trauma Code" is awesome! I loooved JJH in it - if you are familiar with House MD (american series), you'll probably like this too π€£
"Love Scout" is good as well. If you liked "One Spring Night", you will enjoy this π
"Igarashi"- haha Ikr?! I can't believe how delusional the SFL isπ€¦ββοΈ The MC is sweet though β€οΈ
I haven't watched "Ikinari kon" but seeing as how we seem to have similar taste, I'll give it a try soon and will let you know my take. Looking at the summary, I can see why some SERIOUS viewers might think it's misogynistic but ehhh that's part of the charm of jdramas- nothing to take serious over (as long as they don't cross the line). I'll share my final verdict later this week probably.π€
TBF from the very beginning the FL's motive was made clear- she wasn't trying to blackmail him to destroy him…
The thing is Sa Eon from the beginning pinned 406 as an insane person because even in the first call he can sense how unstable the kidnapper sounds. So the kidnapper talking nonsense/ like a woman wasn't really a surprise probably to SE at first.
Besides his main objective was to drag the calls as long as possible to find the kidnapper's location (at least at the beginning) so SE would have just indulged the kidnapper to keep him busy talking. It's also pointed out that SE loses his sense of rationality where Heeju is concerned. Even SE himself admitted that there were so many clues that HJ was 406 from the beginning but his mind was in denial and refused to accept it out of fear. So that's fair enough right? Since even the drama pointed out that SE should have figured it out sooner based on my last point.
As for HJ's side of her calls- she clearly isn't familiar with playing a tough guy if she had to take a crash course on it through movies right? It would be more unrealistic if she can perfectly disguise herself.
Most of the mistakes she made (saying "I" instead of "HJ" in the heat of the moment) during calls were from ep 6 onwards after SE found out the truth and started to get more vulnerable. But we can assume that SE chose to pretend to not notice these since he didn't want her to know that he knew the truth.
*** Sorry, I didn't get what you mean by SE always said things that a man would say to a woman during calls. SE seemed pretty cocky and crass during the initial calls until around ep 5 or so after which he just was too insatiable to make sure the kidnapper didn't underestimate HJ right? π

Even i forgot Trilliom Game ngl so have to continue from the point I stopped.
Would love it if they did a movie for Spy X Family but haven't heard anything so far.
If you haven't already watched, you can try "kaguya sama - Love is War" too- anime with about 3 season and an OMV if i'm not mistaken.
Dramas wise, these days I'm interested in "Love Scout" and "The Trauma Code" (JJH's new drama).
There's also this Jdrama called "Igarashi Fusai wa Giso Tanin" that's interesting (a fan account shares all the videos for free- lemme know if you are interested).
Both Love Scout and Igarashi are on going dramas.π

Haha "Silent" was what made me love Ren too! I'd previously seen him in "My Love Mixup" but didn't really realize how versatile he was until I watched "Silent" and "Trillion Game" π
Glad you liked Spy X Family π. There are about 2 seasons + 1 movie available so far.
I suspected that. Indeed they rushed episode 12 because they had to finish the filming for airing schedule. Too…
Perhaps try Wattpad? Usually the translations are uploaded there (you have to use your critical thinking at times though since the translations are abit.....π π π ).

Haha have you come across the LN or manga spoilers? It sounds like Jinshi is safe- at least for now π
My Happy Ending- me too! I loved the anime as well as the live action (Ia bit of a fan of Ren Meguro's so wasn't surprised really)! Their (anime/ drama) dynamic is just π₯Ή
Yesss- Spy X Family essentially is a combination of contract marriage and hidden identities so you'll probably like it. If you have watched Mr and Mrs Smith, you'll get the vibe (only the couple isn't very angsty towards eachother).

TMAI! Sadly i don't think MBC will bother to sue NF since everybody seems to have moved on from the incident now.
Oooh I love Apothecary Diaries! Can't get enough of MaoMao and Jinshi's antics π€£
PS: the spy anime i mentioned earlier is called "Spy X Family". It's really good too. Also there's another called "My Happy Marriage" which is pretty nice too. This actually kind of reminds me of what SaJu couple would have been like if Sa Eon was honest with his feelings from the beginning.
I suspected that. Indeed they rushed episode 12 because they had to finish the filming for airing schedule. Too…
Sure will keep you posted - though no idea how long it will take since even LR took around 3months or so to circulate online βΊοΈπ
TMAI- the same thing happened with "Till the end of the moon"- too. They were supposed to have 60+ episodes but due to a change with one of their laws, the drama had to reduce the number of episodes to 40. The drama had so much potential but all the chopped bits completely ruined the story for most viewersπ
Some viewers and their level of expectations are rediculous ngl π

TMAIπ
The most effective option so far is to check πkh or add a query on MDL since there are many fan sub sites that allow you to watch J-dramas for freeπ
Speaking of J-subs. Not really related, but i did find a new beef with Netflix. I came across more lazy translation issues with this anime I watch on NF. Basically, it's spy related and this particular scene involves 2 spies saying stuff out loud but the actual "coded" meaning is given in japanese text. But dear Netflix didn't bother to translate the "text" bits so it comes of weird/ you miss alot of context (I already was aware of this because I watched it on another site previously).
The comment section with people with delusions...if there is a good "romance" that touches your heart,…
TBF from the very beginning the FL's motive was made clear- she wasn't trying to blackmail him to destroy him but to end her marriage since she was tired of him and needed to escape.
If anything, despite all of Sa Eon's flowery words to 406 about his wife, Heeju refused to fold completely until he actually proved to her during the team retreat that he was willing to change.
Even after his silent drunk confession, she didn't simply take him back. She made it clear that she will only stay with him if he changed which is honestly refreshing since the drama basically said "love alone isn't enough".
The cliff accident cemented her hopes that Sa Eon truly meant everything he said as his behavior throughout their call in ep 6, and his actions in ep 7 reflected her idea on what a "weakness" was (a.k.a like a wound).
*** Out of curiousity, what did you expect the show to be about? I mean what was the end game you were hoping for between HJ and SE?
It does feel like they might add a "noble idiocy" sacrifice scene isn't it?
Love Scout so far has been challenging the usual K-stereotypes about women and careers so may be they won't prioritize the "step mum as a caretaker" role? It's already clear that Eun Ho does a really great job looking after Byeol but what Byeol seems to miss is motherly love. While JY hasn't really given a chance to show her maternal side, the 2 clearly have an interesting strong bond and it's clear that JY truly cares about Byeol too/ Byeol accepts her friendship too.
So may be they will focus on that side?
JY's reliance on Eun Ho probably will change after she finds out his connection to her dad's death. He might even shift jobs may be?
About the bio mum/ ex-wife, do we even have enough episodes to cover her story? Since we have the Rival/ evil investor arc also, it feels unnecessary at this point to go into too much detail.πππ

Urgh tell me about it.
I'm a fan of jdramas but ever since they killed off most of the sites, I've been in limbo since it' so difficult to find proper sites to find hidden gems/ proper subbed versions π« π« π«
I suspected that. Indeed they rushed episode 12 because they had to finish the filming for airing schedule. Too…
Probably! The pacing in the last episode felt like the writer previously first wrote the entire script and then sectioned it per episode but with ep 12 realized that they have too much material to cover π
I heard that they'll be releasing the script book eventually so hopefully we might get to see the deleted scenes? At least that's how it was with LR's script book.

All the best- google translate can be so crazy sometimes πππ
On the bright side since most c-dramas are based on novels, we can attempt to fill in the blanks by finding the web novels i guess π€
