Yesss....like we discussed earlier, they could have pulled off the Argan Plot if they had at least 1 more episode.

Then again it is the xurse of good dramas- you tend to notice flaws more easily 🙈

Sa Eon wasn't part of the army though. He was part of the negotiating team working with the rebels. In HJ's rescue scene, he was supposed to be part of a team but the drama didn't show the rest of the team.


They already gave alot of hints and direct scenes informing the audience about SE's reckless past as a war correspondent/ negotiator so is it really isn't that unusual.

They could have toned down his rambo-ness but honestly compared to the novel, he was more realostic even in these scenes, specially considering he is from S.Korea where mandotary service is a thing.


Also FYI- Heeju wasn't also supposed to be looking for the sunspot but instead was taken away drom her base because the rebels/ soldiers needed a sign language inteprettor (her story alone is quite long).

It sounds like they didn't have time to film the scenes either sadly so they probably edited the script first.

It makes sense honestly since the Argan arc is pretty long even in the novel (even if you remove the actual negotiation/ interprettor scenes from the arc).

I watched ep 12 as soon as it was released but ended up missing that line (5 seconds apparently can make a difference i guess) so I truly enjoyed the episode- even MDL was pretty calm except for a few questionning the Argan arc which was fair enough. When I logged into MDL on the next day, it was like an apocalypse- same with X. Since I missed the line, I truly had no idea why everybody was up in arms at first

I haven't used Viki in years but now that you mentioned it, never really had issues with their subs.

Even I didn't really notice NF's hiccups until Lovely Runner was added. After watching the drama on other sites so many times, it was difficult to ignore how some of the translations on NF were very simplified compared to fan subs.

They both were traumatized by their families ever since they were kids. Both secretly relied on eachother as emotional support since they were kids too (this was clearly communicated by the drama between ep 6-8 if you missed).
