With WSB, it really is an interesting choice. They could have at least tried to style him abit more like the third guy since he's been in the US for so long (i can't remember his name).

With JYJ, I just assumed they wanted to highlight that she's quite down to earth but with a whiff of whimsy? She's fun and bold but only when it matters?

Could this also be why WSB is slowly becoming more colourful too with his wardrobe choice? He does have a tendancy to reflect JYJ's interests 🙈

Most of the Second couple's initial "heavily edited" scenes are on par with the Hong Kong movie actor's 90s work. I've seen several clips from Chungking Express and this other drama that have the same colour tone as the neon/dreamy/ melancholic filters DTY applies

I want a face off between her and the dispecible father. She can stab him to death and end up in jail. Sacrifice her freedom and ego for her children just once.

Since her assistant probably knows all her secrets, there's a chance he might leak it to the press too. There has to be a reason why they showed him eavesdropping during the altercation instead of trying to help her.

His behaviour becomes more understable after events in ep 7 and 8. He does get better overtime (albeit still very protective) and the FL also speaks her mind so that helps too.

That's true. In a way this bottleneck is even worse than the red tape we have to go through with C-fantasy dramas. What's stopping kdramas from being coherent like they used to?😅😅😅

Short limited seasons work for Netflix originals because they usually only have high stake thriller plots- you can't really drag these kind of dramas beyond 10eps or so.

For most other genres, this template doesn't work. It's always at the expense of the MC🤦‍♀️

"Cautiously optimistic" is a good way to describe this feeling. I really like the second couple right now. The writer can really create a gem of a story with them. Everything about them- even the colour palate and costumes are meticulously selected for them🙈

You are right about needing more episodes. The 12 ep plan doesn't really work for most mainstream kdramas unfortunately

I want to trust the writer's process since they've done a great job with the second couple sp far but I'm kind of scared to keep too much hope based on past experience🙈.

Awww yeah! This is so true- even his first confession really reflects his upbringing. Their's something still so childlike about him even now if you think abojt him. Even the apple slices scene after their first night together? It was a really cute moment but kind of different from how usually dramas handle the first morning after🙈

He keeps seeking for assuarance eventhough it's obvious JYJ loves only him. Given his bio parents VERY public rejection, it's not a surprise why he is the way he is.

I guess even the fact that he didn't reach out to her over the years until he was sure he can finally help her stems from this same need?

The thing with the drama is that they use a lot of subtle guestures more than conversations 🙈

I stopped speed watching since I kept missing clues in the initial episodes. I totally missed the hint that Soo Bin's mother was not his bio mum from an old episode so ep 8 truly surprised me😅

Seriously!!! Initially she just seemed like just another failed actress trying to live through her daughter- but this? It's so much worse! She didn't even learn from her mistakes by being more understanding with Ha Na🥲
