Title Dream to You Spoiler
Specially after seeing his portfolio, it’s not really that surprising why the ML feels betrayed - not for himself…
FR!!! I NEVER expected THAT twist. I guess it does make more sense now why Soo Bin’s mother didn’t try to leave when the abuse got worse when he was a kid - she would have lost him/ it was too dangerous to leave Soo Bin alone. That kind of lingering psychological torture can really hurt a person’s wellbeing even when they have the means to leave later.🥲 My respect for her definitely increased significantly since all this time I just couldn’t understand why she would stay with that snake even after all the abuse.

Honestly though the only way CEO An can redeam herself is if she eliminates the father and serves time in jail. The fact that she abandoned Soo Bin twice with that psycho is unforgivable - specially when she saw how dangerous he was. The fact that she has no remorse for what she’s doing to Ha Na and YG too is just 🤢.

NGL though I would love to see an epilogue to see how CEO An reacted when she realized Yu Geon’s contract was truly her holy grail. She literally can control both kids with it since they both care about him 🥲

Title Dream to You
can someone explain why ian was mad with yu geon being in An agency? and being ask to cast him as lead? if that…
Having an agent is fine but the problem is HOW Yu Geon won his first lead role. He didn’t earn it in the eyes of the public but Ian knows how much he had sacrificed over the years to get where he was. It’s just a waste to lose all that hard work. It’s career suicide in a way -kind of like the hazing JYJ got from the crew because they thought she manipulated Ian into giving her the co-director position or even how Hana’s talent is marginalized because most think she got everything thanks to her mother.

As YG’s friend, Ian’s just sad how things worked out for his friend. Ian also knows that CEO A should not be trusted so he’s probably worried for him too.

Speaking of CEO An's ultimatum, it might have had more weight if we had seen her previously object to Yi Jae?…
Given ep 8’s revelation I think she already knows that JYJ is Soo Bin’s weakness. She just wanted to get her way and used what she considered as their weaknesses (both Hana and WSB’s) to get what she wanted. Notice how she barely even acknowledges JYJ’s presence? She just doesn’t care as long as she can play puppet master.

Title Dream to You Spoiler
OMG Episode 8 was something else 😭 What kind of plot twist was that? So the ML is An Su Hui’s son? Then why…
She probably was still struggling in her career when she had Soo Bin. The fact that evil scum bag took him in as his son probably influenced her too. Given how she’s treated Ha Na like a golden goose since she was a kid, she probably saw her son as a “bad investment”/ probably wanted to cut all ties to the father. Why else would she hand him over to THAT man of all people? Abandoning him in front of a church would have been a safer option.

As for missing him, she did look like she was about to hesitate for a second in the flashback when she saw how desperate he was. But since she was married to Hana’s dad at the time, I don’t think she would have wanted to rock her life.

Hana doesn’t know that Soo Bin is her half brother. She didn’t even understand why he rejected her for his first movie and just thought it was because of Nepo status/ lack of English skills afterall.

Episodes 7 & 8 Okay, I have to talk about episodes 7 and 8 because WOW 😭For episode 7, I was reading everyone’s…
Honestly Trauma Boy doesn’t even begin to describe WSB’s situation. Never would I have expected THAT twist. I’m almost certain CEO An must feel like she caught a white whale when she signed up Yu Geon. No wonder she kept acting like Lucifer infront of him-the contract gives her so much emotional power🙈

So I guess it’s safe to say that calling episode 8 a rollercoaster of emotions is an understatement eh?

There is more care and dedication given to the second couple's story so it's more interesting. IMO it's also a quite fresh take since the MC's starcrossed first love thrope is quite common now- that being said, the actors are doing a great job.

She really is an excellent actress🙈🙈🙈
Haha I had that reaction with Im Siwan's characters after watching so many of his green flag dramas, Unlocked took me by surprise 😅😅😅

I know kdramas usually push for redeamable arcs for parents but I honestly can't see how they can reconcile this time. The mother basically targetted her only friend (or crush in her mum's pov) and in such a vicious way too 🥲

Oh so their dynamic isn’t as toxic as what’s implied on the summary? I was low key curious about the drama…
Haha thanks! This is helpful!

I did enjoy the My Beautiful Man series years ago so I'll give this a chance 🤞

It would have been good if they at least established how her father died. It just feels like a convenient choice at the moment- a "let's just add more despair to JIJ's life" hail mary😅

The clip- apparently JIJ unintentionally let it slip that it's been a while since she woke up next to somebody 🤣
The clip really is adorable- the MC really knows how to make it feel so real.
They are in their rosy era again 🤭

Guess the dream team really is back eh?🤭😉Ep 8 pre-release👇https://www.instagram.com/reel/DbmOkr4CcDw/?igsh=dWx3aGxqZm8wYW84
In retrospect while it does feel like parts of the MC's journey seems to have been cut out to shorten the episodes, I guess in terms of the accident, there really isn't more to discuss?

JIJ is portrayed as someone who is empathetic and logical. After seeing Soo Bin's meltdown in the hospital elevator as well as his mum's current situation AND knowing that he didn't know about the accident, what more can she ask from him? It's quite clear why he rejected their dream so long ago given the hell he went through at the time. He's already begged for forgiveness/ tried to be too protective out of guilt/ is willing to risk his new found success by joining hands with her to fulfill their dream. She just doesn't seem the type who would hold on to a grudge when she knows the other party is hurting too- specially since if it's someone she's always loved.

That being said, if she really is willing to let go of the past, they really need to find a middle ground with their partnership considering how overbearing "mama bear" WSB can be at times😅

Btw did they ever clarify how JIJ's father passed away? Was it because of an accident or stress induced due to her condition/ financial troubles?

Exactly!!! It doesn't also help the fact that Soo Bin's happiness literally relies on JIJ. He lights up only when she's around. That's a dangerous combination🙈

I swear the actress who potrays An Sr. just has a knack for choosing annoying mum characters. I think I've hated most of her characters 🙈

The way she trapped the SML was diabolical ngl

I hope they don’t do it but my faith in Kdramas is quite shaky lately - specially with 12 ep dramas 🙈

If they choose to follow the same old routine, we’ll probably get 1.5 lovey dovey episodes followed by the SML finally showing his true colors/ joining forces with the jealous cousin/ re-appearance of the guy who is in jail for about 3 episodes followed by an episode dedicated for the dead friend’s revenge. Ep 11 will most likely cover the fact that Yeori no longer can see ghosts but learns about the truth behind his heart-followed by dreaded “you are forced to love me” drama and mid Ep 12 they’ll probably reunite 🙈

I feel the same too. Soo Bin seems to be living in a cookie cutter theoretical sense of romance world (play the hero/ save the damsel in distress like in most sterotypical romance dramas). What he fails to understand is that this too can be suffocating. He doesn’t really know what a realistic love is so he just works with what he has “seen”. He’s not inherently bad but he needs to learn how to be equals better.

I just watched ep 6 can someone explain me why jij rejected wsb? Don't the like each other?
WSB was getting too protective over her because of their complicated past that it was actually beginning to hurt her role as a director in front of their team. It was obvious to everyone that WSB gives her special attention but they don’t know why. So as far as they are concerned, a “nobody” like JIJ did not deserve to be a co-director and she took advantage of his feelings.

By ending things, they both get a chance to work without complicating things (or at least try to).

SML is trying to get the part through his agency. So why ML is accusing him of getting it through connection?
Specially after seeing his portfolio, it’s not really that surprising why the ML feels betrayed - not for himself but for his friend. We already can see how much abuse Oh Ha Na goes through because people think that her mother is the ONLY reason she’s successful. After working so hard, once word goes out that the SML got his first lead role through connections/ strong arming the directors, it will hurt his career in the long run. It’ll actually be worse than what OHN goes through because his agency could not care less about him.
