Not really. Most of the recent dramas I watched had a 6-12 hr lag. Some went even beyond 1 day. This is specially noticable with Tencent.

XG did confess EXTREMELY CLEARLY but ZX didn’t accept her confession and made it pretty clear that he isn’t interested in her. XG isn’t a saint to waste her life away on a guy who couldn’t even reply to her very direct messages.

She’s known all along that Lin is Old man Shen’s grandson. During Boss’s wedding she mentioned this when introducing herself. She also tried to undermine him by indirectly asking XG why she would bother to work in Shizuo when she could have easily joined their Shanghai HQ. The implication is that she is aware that even if Lin is one of the grandsons, his status within the family is relatively low (specially since she gets all the tea from Lin’s cousin’s bias POV).

And here I was thinking that may be whoever who murdered WS attacked Jeehae too (since he’s a loose canon) 🙈

I feel the main reason why most dislike ZX and don't really consider XG's responsibility for the initial confession is the fact that he went on his "me me me" tirade even after XG clearly explained why she didn't regret letting go of him. He didn't have to accept XG's feelings but he shouldn't have let the misunderstanding go out of control.
It was his choice to keep quiet at that time so there was no point of making a public scene and stressing her out further in ep 30 infront of the taxi.


Even if we excuse the whole text message fumble, Xu wasn't a good friend to XG. He didn't have to constantly make her feel irrelevant and spoilt. Even during the interview misunderstanding, he didn't have to treat her like she was trying to ruin Rong's future. We can specially see the negative impact he had on her during XG's initial time at her office/how she reacted to Lin's initial pursuit attempts.

Sure, XG didn't consider his background when she confessed but she was naive (besides her behaviour isn't something rare- it's typical college behaviour). Just because she was overhyped over her first love doesn't mean she deserves to be treated like 💩.

Oh and then there's the whole fact that as of ep 31, ZX STILL hasn't taken accountability for the torture he put her through- not even a fake half hearted apology like what we got from Wrong Wrong.

He has an unfortunate background, but using it as an excuse to hurt others is still unacceptable.
