She is excellent here. She is portraying a charming, but inexperienced person, who learned how to be a hard worker…
Exactly. Sometimes to help the one you once promised to love and stay by their side, you might have to step back. We know it's not the right move, but Da Rim hasn't really seen what we have seen🙈
He has to stay there until his mum gets a divorce. But you’re right, he can just bankroll a new company with…
TMAI- I was rooting for her to make a good comeback, but she lost me after she accepted the brother's dubious justication of the Arson. She knew it was wrong so it makes it even worse 🙃
Chat do lmk if I am gonna be hit with a lot of cringe...love this actor but idk if I should start it or not...
How much cringe can you handle? And what would you define as cringe?🙈
Personally I don't find it that cringey. The first 9 episodes have a bit of angst mixed to it since their love is "forbidden" because of the central plot the drama revolves around. 10-11, I don't think it's cringey personally- i guess almost close to Hidden Love/ The first frost's "cringe" level may be? They have their cute moments but not enough to give you diabetes?
Ep 12 is a full on love fest but you kind of get slapped back into reality before the end of the episode. And that's where we are at the moment.
That being said, the drama like most k-romcoms have a lot of thropes but with their own twist so it's fun to me.
MOST importantly, you need empathy to enjoy the drama. If you polarize on one character and refuse to look at the other's pov, you may not enjoy it as much.
Most of the characters are interesting since they are all flawed. Rather realistic IMO - some may not agree with me on this point but c'est la vie 😊
Dear Diary,Today is the finale. And I am not okay.I repeat: I AM. NOT. OKAY. 😭💔✨This drama reminded me…
I was waiting for your entry and you did not disappoint! 🤭
PS: I saw some comments below suggesting that there might be a special episode or 2 available soon. Let’s hope the drama sub gods will be kind to us I guess🙏🙈
TBF this is Hioki’s first kiss ever if I’m not mistaken. I did like the fact that they did his with his eyes…
Damn that sounds traumatizing 🙈 Thanks - the context really helped! I guess I’ve seen too many DEAD dead fish kisses in the past that this made more sense in comparison (specially since Watarai had already started to tone down his love attacks) 🙈
He can't go out to start a company. He needs to stay there and keep low key until his mom got divorced. But you…
I guess we’ll find out on Wednesday.🙈 The preview did hint that JH will be taking a stance against his father so there’s that.
Typically they would drag the whole “getting the parents approval” thrope till they could convince the parents but in this case since JH honestly doesn’t give a damn about his father or the “chairman” so it’s hard to tell. Everything depends on how soon the divorce proceedings can be made public so he doesn’t have to hold back.
Aggressively homophobic.Excellent example of BL for the Puritanical Homophobic Fluff-Munching Western Little Girl…
Not all stories have to be hyper sexual/ melodramatic/ hold a strong message. This is a great example of a slice of life first love high school story - the MC just happens to be 2 guys. Nothing to get mad about.
Watarai: "I'm trying to have a real kiss here! Please, make an effort, I'm feeling really pathetic right now!"Hioki:…
TBF this is Hioki’s first kiss ever if I’m not mistaken. I did like the fact that they did his with his eyes closed. It almost feels like the first took him by surprise but the second time was because he was savoring the kiss.
She is excellent here. She is portraying a charming, but inexperienced person, who learned how to be a hard worker…
Haha exactly. A brainless Barbie would not risk her pretty hair and sleep over a report.
IDK why Da Rim gets so much hate when the writer has been pretty clear since the beginning on what kind of person she is. If anything, she's one of the few FLs viewers shouldn't be surprised that would go for a breakup suggestion as she has been the sacrificial lamb type since ep 1 😅😅😅
And let's not forget, ep 13 isn't out yet and previews can be manipulated so why bother getting mad over something that hasn't even happened yet?🙊
He has to stay there until his mum gets a divorce. But you’re right, he can just bankroll a new company with…
It is a good idea in theory but the mothers need the money + experience now. If they quit midway just because they found out the chairman and director were 💩 bullies, they are reinforcing the prejudice they went through when JiHye first hired them.
Besides, the abusive employer part hasn't really been fleshed out yet (we literally only got barely 1 minute of the scene) so there might be a twist in the next episode. JH is upto something so he will not let this slide.
The FL is not so much a loser as she is an underachiever. She does poorly in interviews which limits her opportunities…
Well said! It's not even that unrealistic since even in real life there are so many people out there who are capable/ book smart but are unable to reach their potential simply because they don't get the chance.
I think the slap in Ep 12 was there to really emphasise the evil character of JH's dad. It makes us make sense…
Yes this makes sense. From the moment they introduced JH's backstory, I've been getting King the Land vibes from the family angle- only more sinister. The slap corroborates it since eventhough in both dramas, the ML's father was portrayed in a negative light, you can see their general aura is completely different.
In KTL, while the father was wrong to abandon his wife, you can feel he truly cares about the company and his family, but lost his way - but still quite redeamable. If his character slapped the FL for a similar mistake, it would have been definitely out of character.
But with DK, the father has always been vile. He has no respect at all for people. It's all about the bottomline. The slap is pretty on brand for him specially since in Da Rim's case, she's just a nameless intern.
PS:
The Pre-release will be available tomorrow - I'll share it once it's out!🙈
For now this is all that's available:

I can't wait to see his face once he finds out about the divorce (and potential loss of his title)🤣
Haha yes I can imagine- I phrased it incorrectly! Sounds almost watpad-dy -a nd now it makes an interesting story😁

I'm really curious to see how JH would react to it.
The old geezer will get "slapped" soon once JH's mum is through with him 😈
