Sorry if I sounded offenisve. You actually didn't come into mind when I said "certain individuals".
In fact I even find some of the negative comments really funny and truly enjoyable like the sarcastic scenario comments from the user with Cash in their name. And I do agree with some complaints as well since this isn't an original drama.
But there are others who come here just to comment the *same* old rant every week (it's almost predictable what to expect) just to sound superior. Once or twice is understandable, but it's the same thing every week. I guess I wish if the complaints were more unique and varied from week to week at least if the purpose of ranting the same old thing is to judge the other users.
Yes, I can just ignore or block said comments, but the curious side of me can't help wander why one would waste time *every* week to write the same long rant about an obvious thrope like Cinderella.
Even I now avoid Cinderella thropes usually since it's the same old script rehashed and the thrope is quite outdated. I'm just in it for the cast and I'm curious to see if the second couple's story will be handled the way I hope (since my initial theory before the triangle was introduced crashed and burned😅).
Unfortunately people like to make themselves watch things they absolutely hate just so they could express their…
Getting paid to complain sounds like a dream job ngl 🤭
I agree with you. Even I am not completely satisfied with some of the side plots but it's nothing unexpected. The moment Cinderella thrope is introduced in a drama, you know what to expect. It's a tale as old as time across the globe. Not worth wasting your precious time over (hell there are way worse cinderella thrope dramas out there worth focusing on) 🙈

Glad you are enjoying it in your own way.
With hate-watching, I find it redundant since the drama's views still increase unless you hate-watch dramas via pirate sites.
Even if you do pirate the episodes, the free publicity still helps the drama since at least one person would try it just to see why it's attracting hate-watchers. It's like willingly walking into the writer's "trap".

Complaainig is completely fine- that's what MDL is for. It's a free world so people can do whatever makes them happy 😊
Then again, unless somebody subscribed to Netflix just to watch DK (or another disappoining drama), I truly can't understand why anybody would willingly hurt themself EVERY week. 🙈
It was obvious the drama will be thropey from ep 3 onwards (ep 1 onwards actually if you add the Cinderella theme). There are many new dramas released in NF alone every few weeks too. Same with internet- plenty of options. If a person willingly choses to watch something they clearly hate and have no expectations every week, it's not on the drama. It's a choice.🙃
PS: I'm not referring to all the users btw- just a select few who have made it their mission to hate it since week 1 and have been loyally posting every week (even more than those who enjoy the show).

Honestly I don't get why people would be so motivated to waste their time this badly just to add a weekly rant. I understand the ones who got disappointed mid series but I've seen some users bellyaching since ep 2-3 at least as if their lives depended on it.🙃
Since October alone there were at least 2 K-romcoms I dropped after the first week eventhough both were highly anticipated and I liked the main cast. I simply removed them from my list as soon as I realized the 6 week journey wasn't worth it. There are so many dramas out there- why waste your time from the beginning eh?
oh jesus lmao i was just about to continue with ep4, now seeing all the spoilers 😬 is it still worth finishing…
If you enjoy K-romcoms in general and don't really care about thropes, it's worth giving a try. I personally enjoyed watching the story through all their perspectives.
The story itself isn't new but the actors do a really good job. They do add their own twist personally since it's been a while since I saw "forbidden love" as part of the main romcom plot. If you don't like lying and misunderstandings and take dramas seriously, this might not work for you.
I think in this case the father also matters. I can't remember the parents in CLOY much now but the father in…
That's why I said "present day".
He's not a saint but from what I recall at least he wasn't as awfully depicted as the chairman in DK during the present day scenes.
(It's been years since I watched CLOY so I might have forgotten something but from what I recall, the mother in CLOY wasn't a jittery mess in the "present day' scenes aside from her strained relationship with Seri).
I can’t help but compare the ML’s mother’s story with Seri’s mother’s story from CLOY. Here, she’s…
I think in this case the father also matters. I can't remember the parents in CLOY much now but the father in it wasn't inherently bad right? He did play chess with all his children but he wasn't cruel to his wife (at least in the present day).
JH's mother's mental torture may have started with JiHye's presence but it's made clear that the chairman treats her like his PR slave.
To be fair SU didn’t know that JH had concrete evidence that can help clear her name before JH told him clearly.…
I guess I looked at it from a friend's pov.
If my friend was hurt by her boyfriend's family (SU knew about the slap/scam leak), I wouldn't immediately agree to help her boyfriend just because he *thinks* that he can help her.
JH may be straight forward, but his family is formidable. It's a known fact that even in reality chaebol families can practically destroy people (example Samsung family and one of their ex daughters in law).
Even if JH truly wants to help DR, SU as a friend would be cautious to make sure JH actually can walk the walk before dragging DR bacj into his messed up family's 💩.
Honestly it would be better if he picks her up from the airport after a few years.🙈 HY deserves a fresh start…
I feel for Jun too - their friendship is so precious🥲
I hope SU can compromise. Just because he doesn't want to date her doesn't mean he should split their friendship (specially seeing how Jun's quite sensible for his age).
I guess the fact that HY's mum did end up getting the confiscated gifts back from SU hints that SU might not be so strict in the future?🙊 Boundaries are good since he's not ready to have a relationship. And specially since Jun is involved, he can't force himself either. But I can't see any reason why they can't continue being friends (specially since HY too finally seems to be ready to respected SU's wishes).🙈
You aren't alone. At first glance in the trailer they kind of look alike from certain angles -specially with the…
Haha I see what you mean. It's rather weird to jump to the conclusion that you meant that 2 C-actors look similar = being racist 😅😅😅
I actually didn't even realize the ML is the same ML from Go Ahead at first glance (which is something seeing as his Go Ahead character is so iconic too) .What does that make me?🤣
People need to chill- it doesn't have to be that deep🙃
To be fair SU didn’t know that JH had concrete evidence that can help clear her name before JH told him clearly.…
My interpretation of it was that the first time JH said, it sounded like an excuse(in SU's pov) but the second time he repeated it, he sounded more convincing. It's not vague evidence that could mayyy be help her hut actual evidence.
(Sorry if I sound confusing, it's hard to explain what I felt exactly)🙈
Honestly it would be better if he picks her up from the airport after a few years.🙈 HY deserves a fresh start…
You do have a point 🙈
I hope they don't though. I liked how SU handled her mother today. If they give them a hasty ending after all the drama we had with the second couple, it would be too much 🙈
seon u is 100% going to ha yeong at the airport in the end of episode 14
Honestly it would be better if he picks her up from the airport after a few years.🙈 HY deserves a fresh start away from her crazy family. By the time she is done with her degree, Seon U too would be in a better mindset/ less baggage.
Probably another safe house or she no longer needs to meet the lawyers anymore (since that was her main reason…
No where to go as in a place private where she won’t get recognized. Since she has to frequently meet with the lawyers (and perhaps other parties), if the chairman found out she was upto something, he might have found a way to block their plans.
Now that they have found a resolution (JH found evidence last week for example+ ep 14 preview), the mother can stay anywhere she wants again. She’s probably setup at a hotel like JH originally planned. (We might get more information tomorrow as well).
SML now doesn’t care about FL just becoz she doesn’t have feelings for him. What a selfish jerk when ML told…
To be fair SU didn’t know that JH had concrete evidence that can help clear her name before JH told him clearly. He just thought that JH was being a clingy entitled ex (and I’m almost certain Da Rim probably already told him not to share her location).
Wait, if Da Rim's mom sold the house, where did Ji Hyeok's mom go??
Probably another safe house or she no longer needs to meet the lawyers anymore (since that was her main reason to stay away) -seems like it’s the latter based on ep 14’s preview.
Oh wait, at the beginning of ep 13, the mum specifically said that JH’s confession to DR’s mum was the perfect going away gift or something like that. So she anyway left long before the scandal.
