I really love seeing ML being so fierce in here . After seeing Chen Zhe Yuan's as a savage in Fated Hearts, I've been waiting for another series with him playing a similarly aggressive role.
Does FL knows it was ML who rescued her during her childhood?
It doesn't seem like it as of ep 4, but I think ML had an inkling that she's the same girl who stole his jade. That's why when she returned it to him, he told her to keep it.
Because it was to reflect that they weren't Han Chinese. This part of the story took place in western China based on clothings, environment, and landscape. There were other tribes/religious group(s) there, e.g islam, whose men shaved their head/had short hair back then.
Wow, ep 3 is so good when ML/FL start working together!! They are so in sync. You can see the admiration in FL's eyes for ML as he was walking away when the case was closed.
I love Chen Zhe Yuan and Wu Jin Yan.❤️ So glad they are in this together even though you can tell it's not a high budget series. Can't wait to see how the drama goes!
These two are so well cast as ML /FL. I've watched a few of hers and my second by Daniel. They both did excellent and I feel this drama is their best personal performance to-date.

As for why 4th aunt is so nasty, it's because she blames her current "nobody status" on Li Zhen's immediate family. Her dead husband was next in line to take over the Li business, which means, she would be the next matriarch of the Li family; but now, she's left with nothing.

Not yet, but he still has the medicinal ink and pouch she gave him when they were kids. So I think that's going to be how she links him as the younger Luo when she discovers he has it.

Guest is anonymous to cameo role. On MDL, there isn't a "cameo" category, or at least, I rarely or never saw one. So, listing Lup Wen Son as a "guest" is actually a more prestigious listing than as a support role.
I like how the medicinal ink main herb will NEVER be known except between Li Zhen and her mom. There will never be a formula leak even if the book is stolen. =)
