Surprising self reflect: I'm not bothered by so many Cheng Lei's topless scenes. I would be feeling uncomfortable had it been a 12 yo boy's scrawny body. 🤪
I put this drama on hold after ep 7. should I continue??
Are you a Cheng Lei's fan? If yes, continue. Not a Cheng Lei's fan ==> Do you have any other good dramas to watch now, if no, then continue to watch; otherwise, drop/hold. =)
Is Jin'an's bro alive? Last time I saw him he was still in the dungeon cave thingy
He is, but the dark sorcerer made it sounds like the brother and the villain Empress are bound together in way that if one were to die, the other person would die, too.
I just can’t see Su Mu Yang ever letting the FL go. So I think he’s going to die, and Prince Annan will unite…
I feel the same. He would never let her go as he's so obsessed with her. He would find ways to get her, wage wars, or use her adopted father to make things difficult for her even if she moved to Yao; like, what if Su Mu Yang had her father lead the war knowing that she wouldn't fight her own adopted father? That's why I feel that best way out would be for SMY to die, and Jin'An to reign both territories.
Most surprising info from ep 27/28 for me is that Yao's emperor (Jin'An's brother) didn't fall for the psychotic empress, but it was her sister Rong who he loved. This makes me feel better because it shows that he never fell for the villainess to begin with.
I can't believe the Dark Sorcerer died just like that. Sigh...as the most menacing villian thus far in the drama, it's just too underwhelming. Got to say I'm sorely disappointed even though he's a bad character.
Up to ep 27, With Su Mu Yang as the new villain, I don't know if I want him to rule Taijin. But there's no other heir potential in the picture. Where is the show heading? 1) Su Mu Yang dies and Ji'nAn rules both Yao and Taijin as one. 2) Su Mu Yang continues to rule TaiJin, while Jin'An rules Taijin, and both live in peace. I don't like this option though.
Just finished 6 eps in one go. I did skip a lot of scenes without the main leads because I'm mostly only interested in Cheng Lei. I got to say, he has chemistry with all his female leads, including Jelly Lin whose performance I normally don't enjoy, but she's great in here with Cheng Lei.
Cheng Lei definitely has a lot of shirtless scenes in Shadow Love. I'm happy to see he's not scrawny or overly skinny like some other Chinese actors when topless. I hope this sets a new standard in the Cdrama industry for male artists to embrace a healthier image.
I'm impressed with the evil sorcerer's choice of weapon. Whoever created this character is rather creative in giving him magnetic ball bearing bracelets with the metal balls on the outside of the rings.
Just finished the drama. Too many delusional people. I thought Chu Zhao would redeem himself but the last few episodes, he pretty much went down a rabbit hole with his obsession. I did enjoy LOFG because of the chemistry and romance bits between the leads.
1) Su Mu Yang dies and Ji'nAn rules both Yao and Taijin as one.
2) Su Mu Yang continues to rule TaiJin, while Jin'An rules Taijin, and both live in peace. I don't like this option though.
What do you think?
Seems like Mo Yin might be paired with Lu Xin after all. Good decision.
