Wait.. in a recent interview with Timmy, they asked if it's a HE and he said he can't say because, I quote "compared…
He also said it's the best ending for the couple. There also a scene of Jiashang in the first trailer in training pilot uniform dancing with Shizhen so I think it might change a bit but not too much.
Excuseeeeeeeee me! How's this show rating came down to 8 from 8.1? Who's giving it so much low rating?
I'm very surprised at this rating too. It went from 8.2 to 8.1 and now 8.0. Personally, at this point in the drama it is an 8.5+. Waiting to finished the drama before rating. Depending on the last ten episodes I'll likely rate it a higher score.
They are actually way less lovey dovey than in the novel, I don’t know why 🧐
Many sweet scenes and kiss scenes were filmed but were cut off. The official Weibo drama page released some behind the scenes tidbits containing deleted scenes. Unsure they will be upload on YouTube though.
Take note cdramas PDs ! This is how you make a young and mature couple with chemistry and good comunication !…
I especially love this scene so much. The part when he confessed to her "Shizhen, I love you" then the music stops like Jiashang is waiting with bated breath to hear what Shizhen has to say. And when she requited "I love you" and the string music comes on. It's so beautiful.

I think it may have to do with the production company. They spent most of the budget for set designs (the director said this on the behind the scenes Special video) and likely none left for promotions. It's very frustrated but good production will not stay hidden. Tencent has very bad vision too. They bought the rights to air but did not promote it, unlike their own productions which are promoted widely and frequently. Now with the amount of viewership increasing and surpasses some of their productions Tencent finally made some moves to promote on their site.
Is anyone like me? I've watched episodes 29 and 30 three times now! OMG, these two episodes are so well made. The intimate scenes are so sexy and sweet. They can finally sit down and get to know each other without external distractions.
I really like the last scene of them on episode 29 at the Forbidden Palace; with their dialogue, the music, and the once majestic palace now sat empty. It's so poignant. It's like a foreshadow of things to come. The Rong business empire and its count down to sinking since its inception juxtapose prior Chinese dynasties. A very artistic scene.
I'm so proud and happy for all the casts and crews. With no promotion the premiere was lackluster of only a little over 10 million. Thankfully there are good word of mouth. Yesterday's viwership almost reached 50 million. On none VIP days it is very steady of an average of 30 million views. There are two weeks left for VIPs and three weeks for regular updates. Looking forward to the final viewership count. Jia you!
For me, yes. It is also a personal preference, what I and many here like you might not like. I'd say give it a…
The plot is compact and execution is not perfect but overall smooth. First half is semi slow with character set up while second half is very exhilarating with revelations after the other. It's a very detail oriented drama. Enjoy the drama but pay attention to detail and dialogues. If you don't you'll be missing some clues. :D Enjoy!
For me, yes. It is also a personal preference, what I and many here like you might not like. I'd say give it a try and if you like it continue, if not it's fine too.
The first half was a bit slow but the second half is so interesting! Hope they retain this excitement until the…
Yes. And I do appreciate it because we have everything build up to make the second half this exciting. There's a saying: “There are decades where nothing happens; and there are weeks where decades happen.” First half of the drama is definitely where nothing happens with slow build ups and the second half is like a domino's affect. Where every character cannot escape the hands of fate.
