Any theories on who is FL's brother? Is it Meng's right hand man? I always suspected the ML's best friend but…
Major spoiler alert: ML is not FL's long lost brother, but FL's brother is almost the same age as ML. The boy on the wheelchair is ML's half brother. Yes to your theory, her brother is 2ML's right hand man.
All of the secondary characters will have closure, at least according to the novel. So, unless the screenwriters made drastic changes you won't missed out on anyone just disappearing into thin air. LOL
I am full of anticipation. I hope it's filmed as close to the novel as possible. This is the climax of the novel.…
Haha, that's great to know. I had a great time reading the novel. Yes, this week's 6 episodes of the auction and Beiping (Beijing) are the highlights of the novel for me.

Drama is 40 episodes long. We're almost 3/4 done. There's one big shocking secret near the end but to me what transpired at the auction is the catalyst that changes every characters' destiny, for better or worse.
I literally can't wait for the next episodes... if it's like the novel, sh*t is about to go down...
I am full of anticipation. I hope it's filmed as close to the novel as possible. This is the climax of the novel. Well, there's one more big revelation but this is the best part.
Meng is definitely shady, but after the party in episodes 16/17 I'm really liking his character. You gotta respect…
He's not only shady but has got some messed up priorities. You'll learn more how immoral he's willing to do to achieve his revenge. He's done background check on her that's why she's chosen as the spy in the Rong family. Keep in mind as the plot unravel, he thought he knew everything about FL and happily send her to seduce Mr Rong.
Who else here feels a little bit pissed off that the ML keeps wanting the FL lead's attention and wants her affection...…
No, if he leaves his family for her he's a coward and, I believe, she'd have less respect for him. In her calculations by seducing him she knows he's smart and loyal to his family regardless the lack of love. She's counting on him and has been egging him, case in point episode 21, to stand up against his father. And destory the family business. He is also playing his cards too, from his management of business to investigating WenChunLi and her family. It's too political during this time period to be frivolous.
10 episodes in and will probably drop for a while to see what people think of the ending.ML is too frustrating…
I'm the opposite. I think the ML is very cunning and very clever in his dealing with different people. Since this drama doesn't sound like your type, don't force yourself. There are other dramas to see.
Does anyone else think the fl forgave the ml way too fast for buying off all the victims of the fire? It only…
No, I think it's very rational of her. She's not out of character. Her agenda is to bring down his father. It sounds to me there are more ways to bring RDK down. Her phone call to Meng hinted that. Plus, she knew it was RJS who published the explosive news. The Feng are doing well but the same cannot be said of the rest of the victims. This is likely the only opportunity they will receive monetary compensation from the Rong family. Otherwise, they have no evidence to bargain with let along get anything in the process.
She is perfectly cast for this role - she excels in this era (historical/idol dramas are not really her thing).…
Not sure what your beef is with the ML but he's perfect for his role, same to the rest of the cast. Open his eyes widely? Moves his lip? I am lost here. I've watched all the VIP episodes and trailers and can't connect with your description.
What episode are you on? Just for your information, everything is not what it seems. Keep in mind the context…
If you've watched it he's just turned 20. Taking things at face value for this drama doesn't make sense for this drama. There's a reason for why each character is the way they are. Anyway, enjoy the drama.
Ml looks like a child in love, reminds me of my high school days. but since this isn't a school drama, the way…

You can watch his latest series (City of Streamer) airing right now on Tencent (WeTv English). He has a lot of…
Yes, he's his own boss. There are rumors that Tencent wanted to sign him but only for films not music. However, ZhouZhou wants to develop both in music and acting. He ended up just signing drama deals and not as an artist under them. I think he's doing well in music and improving in acting. And being under a talent agency may have its strengths, especially in terms of having first go at a good scripts or marketing, but I think overall it's better he's independent so he's free to do what he wants to do.
ML has to improve with his acting skills more...He is ok but feels like forced acting and something is wrong with…
No, this is his best acting. Not sure if you're just reading Eng sub but I and Chinese audience think he's perfect as Rong JaiShang for his micro expression, especially his eyes. If you missed just a moment of it then you're missing a lot of context/clue to his inner thoughts.
