Drama is 40 episodes long. We're almost 3/4 done. There's one big shocking secret near the end but to me what transpired at the auction is the catalyst that changes every characters' destiny, for better or worse.

I am full of anticipation. I hope it's filmed as close to the novel as possible. This is the climax of the novel. Well, there's one more big revelation but this is the best part.

Keep in mind as the plot unravel, he thought he knew everything about FL and happily send her to seduce Mr Rong.

No, if he leaves his family for her he's a coward and, I believe, she'd have less respect for him. In her calculations by seducing him she knows he's smart and loyal to his family regardless the lack of love. She's counting on him and has been egging him, case in point episode 21, to stand up against his father. And destory the family business. He is also playing his cards too, from his management of business to investigating WenChunLi and her family. It's too political during this time period to be frivolous.

Tragically, no. She will have a sad ending. At least according to the novel. :C

I'm the opposite. I think the ML is very cunning and very clever in his dealing with different people. Since this drama doesn't sound like your type, don't force yourself. There are other dramas to see.

No, I think it's very rational of her. She's not out of character. Her agenda is to bring down his father. It sounds to me there are more ways to bring RDK down. Her phone call to Meng hinted that. Plus, she knew it was RJS who published the explosive news. The Feng are doing well but the same cannot be said of the rest of the victims. This is likely the only opportunity they will receive monetary compensation from the Rong family. Otherwise, they have no evidence to bargain with let along get anything in the process.

Not sure what your beef is with the ML but he's perfect for his role, same to the rest of the cast. Open his eyes widely? Moves his lip? I am lost here. I've watched all the VIP episodes and trailers and can't connect with your description.

If you've watched it he's just turned 20. Taking things at face value for this drama doesn't make sense for this drama. There's a reason for why each character is the way they are. Anyway, enjoy the drama.

Yes, he's his own boss. There are rumors that Tencent wanted to sign him but only for films not music. However, ZhouZhou wants to develop both in music and acting. He ended up just signing drama deals and not as an artist under them. I think he's doing well in music and improving in acting. And being under a talent agency may have its strengths, especially in terms of having first go at a good scripts or marketing, but I think overall it's better he's independent so he's free to do what he wants to do.
