May be they did, may be they didn't. Honestly, I feel, they just got lucky and it wasn't a conscious choice, given how most female characters in CDramas seem to have high pitched voices.

Feel terrible for saying this, but the way her character is designed, it'd have been better if she had stayed kidnapped. Would totally judge if Qimin genuinely falls for her. Fortunately/unfortunately, the actress is doing a convincing job. 🙈 So, I don't feel an iota of sympathy. People go through a lot worse and yet don't behave this way.

So true! Many viewers seem to equate intimate scenes with chemistry. *facepalm* Ashile Sun and Chang Ge supremacy! I don't think they can be topped, both in terms of the story or chemistry, especially, in reference to other dramas set in the desert.

Kudos to the female voice dubber. AB's performance leaves a lot to be desired but it does get so much more elevated due to the voice acting. Also, it makes sense for Qiluo to have a heavier register since she also conducts business as a man. Years of talking at a lower register can make your voice deeper.

Your comments made LOL. Ren Hao is a really good actor. Watch Hilarious Family and you will understand. A couple of my CDrama favourites are in that. In all honesty, the script writer has done a fairly good job except for the Xuan princess. It's a pity that the acting is not exactly the best... For me, nothing has topped or even come close by a mile to The Long Ballad when it comes to chinese stories set in the desert.

I didn't go into details about LR as a show of courtesy to viewers who wish to discuss MC in particular which is why they are on this page to begin with. Sometimes, an umbrella on a rainy day can make all the difference. However, it wasn't just because of an umbrella. There are non-verbal cues in the construction of that scene. It does seem like instant love, but, in my opinion, it wasn't. I had written exactly why it wasn't on LR's page, but it's not appropriate to write it on MC's discussion page.
